The old woman stepped into the villa. Her dark purple cloak wrapped tightly around her body, a shield against the cold. The floors were a beautiful red marble, the pillars were white and the ceiling was painted with scenes from Greek mythology. She entered the office and sat down in front of him. "Do you have it, the prediction?" he asked. "I'm afraid not, your grace. For this particular case, I sent somebody out to fetch Lord Montague. I hope you don't mind,"was the answer. "Certainly not, Montague is a perfectly fine fellow." Though Lord Capulet did wonder why Lord Montague had to be fetched. It was his future after all. He hoped he would find out soon enough.
Two days ago, this lady had stopped him in the middle of his way to an exhibition of some very fine paintings and looked him dead in the eye. The sun was high, the roads and market crowded. She pulled him into an alley, pulled down her hooded cloak to reveal white flowing hair and mahogany skin and looked sternly into his eyes while saying:" Your future will be revealed to me soon. If you want to know, I'll meet you in two days at your house, around midnight, the moon shall be hollow then." She then proceeded to pull up her hood again and walked out of the alley. Normally, Lord Capulet didn't believe in the superstitious or any of the sorts, lies, and a waste of time, he thought. But the way the woman had looked him in the eyes left no doubt that this was not just some superstition. If she did in fact know where he really lived outside of the city, which he was bound to have left in two days time in time for his wifes birthday, she was good. And he thought better safe than sorry. He'd hear her out, perhaps pay her for her services, and take it into account, not too much, he wouldn't let his life be ruined by a possible false prediction of the future, and continue on with his life. He walked out of the alley and continued on his way to the exhibition.
