Chapter 34

Ok this'll be really short and probs really bad, but I wanna update for y'all!

-Niall's pov-

The boys, the girls of Little Mix, Marie, Taylor, Ed, Cher, Justin, and I sat in the back of the car on the way to record a bit for our charity single. I'm really excited to have something new out for the fans, but not too excited to be up at 7 in the morning. The good news is we're missing a Health video, thank god. I looked up to see everyone else in the car huddled around someone.

"What are you all doing?" I asked.

"Drawing a mustache in Zayn cuz he fell asleep" Harry shrugged. Typical for these crazy people... I looked to the other side of the car and saw Marie sitting there alone staring out the window. I slid across the leather seats to sit beside her.

"Ello, love" I whispered in her ear. She flinched in surprise and turned to face me.

"Oh, it's you" she said vaguely.

"Is something wrong?" I was suddenly concerned. She wasn't her usual bubbly self.

"No" she shook her head turning her gaze back to the window. Darn, what did I do?!

"Marie, please tell me what's wrong" I pleaded.

"Really, Niall, it's nothing. Just leave me alone." She sighed.

"I WILL MURDER YOU ALL!" I heard Zayn yell in anger. I turned to see Zayn with a handlebar mustache, unibrow, and devil beard. Everyone else was dying of laughter, of course. I got a sudden idea, maybe one of Marie's friends knows what's wrong with her.

"Ummm, Cher, Perrie can I talk to you?" I asked.

"Sure Nialler!" Cher chirped. I motioned for both of them to follow me over to the other side of the car, where no one was seated.

"Do you know why Marie is upset?" I asked worredily.

"Umm, maybe she got some hate from fans or something?" Perrie shrugged.

"Yesterday we were hanging out and she started acting all wierd after she got a text, does that help?" Cher offered.

"Yup, thanks Cher!" I said immediately knowing what must have happened. A. I think Perrie was thinking the same thing. Cher gave me a thumbs up and joined the group of people on the other side of the car.

"Are you thinking the same thing?" Perrie asked. I nodded and looked down. The long scar with blue stiches showed against the pale skin of her arm reminding me that A doesn't mess around.

"What do you think it was?" I asked looking back up to her gaze. She opened her mouth to answer but we pulled up to the studio.

"C'mon leggo!" Jesy cried slipping out of the van. 'I'll tell you later' Perrie mouthed before following the flow of people climbing out of the van.

We walked into our room and saw two people sitting on the plush leather couches, our drummer Josh Devine and a girl I didn't recognise.

"Vas happenin, i'm going to the bathroom to get this" Zayn paused to gesture to the doodles on his face "off"

"Alright, later man" Josh nodded in his direction.

"So, who's this?" Harry asked.

"This is Emmy, she'll be your stylist and makeup artist for the photoshoot today" Josh smiled at her.

"Hello" she waved.

"Nice to meet you, love" Liam smiled.

"You too, I'm so excited to work with all of you." Emmy smiled.

"Ok, let's get started recording?" Louis suggested just as Zayn reentered the room.

We finished recording after two hours and we actually had first takes on the whole single.

"Time for your photoshoot! Ill see you guys later." Josh waved and walked away to a chorus of "bye!"

"I'll do One Direction's hair first, can the rest of you change into the outfits on that rack? They're labeled by name" Emmy pointed to a long rack of clothes in plastic sleeves.

"Shore!" Jade said weirdly. Everyone else drifted over to the rack, and the boys and I headed over to the makeup/hair counter.

(Emmy did One Direction's hair and then they changed into their outfits and she did Little Mix's hair amd makeup.)

I plopped down next to Marie, who was sitting on a couch alone.

"Hey Marie" I poked her in the arm.

"Hi" she smiled weakly.

I lowered my voice to a whisper "Did you get a text from A?"

Marie looked at her feet then the ceiling. She shut her eyes for a second then turned her open eyes to face me. "No, Niall, I did not"

What? Why was she lying to me? Was she lying? Or am I just jumping to conclusions?

"Ok, photoshoot time!" Emmy announced. All of us followed her down the hall to the room where we were doing the photoshoot.

"Ah, there you are!" Simon stood up from his seat as we entered the room.

"Hello Mr.Cowell" Liam smiled politely.

"Hello, now let's get to business. Your charity single is going to be for Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day is a chairty that does a lot of work for the needy in Europe and Africa and their symbol is a red nose" Simon explained.He held up a red rubber ball that was like a clown nose but had a face on it. "You'll be doing the photoshoot in these noses. Your photographer is Nigel Barker, so get to work"

Nigel directed us to where to stand. Marie was at the end and she had her elbow leaning on my shoulder. On my other side was Justin, then Jade, Ed, Taylor, Harry, Jesy, Louis, Leigh-Anne, Liam, Cher, Zayn, and Perrie on the opposite end. Needless to say, it was a very long line.

After a few hours we finally finished.

"Nice job everyone! I like this styling, what do you think about having Emmy come for your next tour?" Simon smiled.

"Yay! She picks good shoes!" Perrie jumped up and down.

Simon laughed. "Again, good work. You can go back to school."

We climbed back in the car and drove back through the dark streets. I keep wondering why Marie won't tell me what's bothering her...

A.n Good, I got you guys a chapter! Sorry I don't update as often! I'm trying to find time and I also need to write my Liam story and I'm writing a new one in Word! AHHHH! ;)

I have to take more stinkin MCAS tomorrow! The ELA one, so don't wanna take it! Anyone else have to take the most annoying standardized test ever aka the MCAS?
