Becoming a werewolf felt great, but there were a lot of things Isaac didn't know he could do.
Isaac hadn't his fastest while running. He hadn't hit his strongest punch. There were two people Isaac went to for help. Derek Hale and Scott McCall. Isaac gets help from Derek mainly because he lives in his loft, but he prefers to get help and spend time with the one the only Scott McCall, his crush since forever.
Isaac had always crushed on Scott, and he could hide it great. When he got a bit, though, it became impossible to control himself around him.
Isaac can never fully control himself around Scott, and he has to physically remove himself most of the time before he did or said anything.
Today was no different to another day Isaac was around Scott. Today, Isaac was having what might be the worst werewolf control day ever. It's the day before the full moon and Isaac needs help.
Isaac made his way to the animal clinic to talk to Deaton, but when he walked in, he was hit with the sweet scent that sent him into an instant calm. Scott was here.
"Scott." Isaac whispered, smiling as he was engulfed in the scent of Scott.
"Hey Isaac." Scott announced, pulling him out of his blissful stare into nothing.
"Scott, uh, hi Scott." Isaac said, nervously shuffling and playing with his hands.
Scott smiled and laughed at the nervous boy. "Come through." Scott said, moving aside as Isaac walked in to the back room.
Scott walked in behind Isaac and mumbled under his breath. "I heard that, Scott. I'm not cute." Isaac said, turning to face him.
Scott smiled to himself as Isaac stood awkwardly, looking between Scott and Deaton.
"Mr Lahey as much as I love the company there must be a reason you came here." Deaton said tidying anything that wasn't necessary. "It's the day before the full moon. Are you not able to control? Are you afraid you might hurt someone?" Deaton turned his full attention to Isaac.
"I haven't been through a full moon before. I just don't know if I can handle it." Isaac sounded ashamed of himself.
"Isaac, you know that normal. I couldn't control myself on my first full moon either, but all you have to do is find an anchor. At can be anything, anyone." Scott leaned on the table and looked up at Isaac.
"What if you think you know who your anchor is, but the fear of loosing them is what makes you lose control?" Isaac finally looked at Scott and felt calm, but also felt his nerves bubbling up.
"That's normal. The best thing is to lose your fear of loosing them and just focus all your energy to be your own anchor. If you can't, you just have to tell your anchor that you need them. If that doesn't work, you anchor yourself to your anger. Isaac, I know you have the anger, so that will be easy." Deaton finished talking, and left Isaac to think over what he'd said.
"Wait here." Scott said, going into the kennel room and coming out a minute later with a fluffy little dog in his arm.
"This is Rachel. She's here until she's ready to go." Scott said petting the small dog.
"Why does it smell like that?" Isaac asked curiously.
"She has cancer. You know dogs have the same skill. They can smell when something is wrong with a person. There is something else we can do that they can't." Scott moved to stand beside Isaac and grabbed his hand pulling him gently towards the table.
"Don't be scared you won't hurt her, you'll be doing her a favour, actually." Scott turned Isaacs hand and gently placed it on the dog's body.
"What do I do?" Isaac asked, staring into Scott's amazing chocolate brown eyes.
"Just trust me." Scott practically whispered. "Deaton showed me this when I was first turned." Scott laid his hand on top of Isaacs.
"Close your eyes and focus. You know what's happening when you feel it." Scott said, and Isaac did as Scott said and focused on the soft feel of the fur beneath his hand.
Scott moved to stand behind Isaac. "Focus on her fur the warmth of her skin, the pain she's in. now care and take the pain away." Scott moved and saw black veins running up Isaacs arm.
"Open your eyes." Scott whispered, and when Isaac opened his eyes he saw the veins disappearing up under his sleeve.
"What did I do?" Isaac asked, tears welling up in his eyes.
"You took her pain, Isaac." Deaton said, reappearing in the corner of the room.
"Were-creatures have the ability to take pain. Not just from animals but from people too. You can only do it if you care." Scott said, looking at Isaac, who had stray tears running down his face.
Isaac wiped away the tears and looked up at Scott, smiling. "It's okay. The first time he showed me, I cried, too." Scott said, moving closer and putting his hand on Isaacs shoulder.
"It's you." Isaac quietly said, hoping Scott didn't hear. "Me? What's me?" Scott asked.
"My anchor is the person I love." Isaac said, avoiding Scotts eyes and paying close attention to Rachel, the dog.
"You love me too?" Scott asked, listening to Isaacs heartbeat increase.
Isaacs heart skipped a beat when he heard Scott say 'love'. Scott smiled. "You know, we're basically human lie detectors. Your heart skipped, you love me." Isaac finally looked up and saw the smile on Scotts face.
"Yeah. I'm sorry." Isaac whispered, still looking into Scotts brown eyes, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders.
Scotts smile widened as he leaned in closer to Isaac. "Took you long enough." Scott said, leaning in and placing a soft kiss on Isaacs lips.
Scott pulled away and Isaac kept his eyes closed, savouring the kiss. He looked more relaxed than he ever has. Isaac finally opened his eyes and not a second later he grabbed Scotts waist and pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss.
After separating from the kiss, Isaac and Scott stood staring into each other's eyes. Isaac guided Scott out of the clinic, and they walked hand in hand into the preserve.
