Chapter Seven Date Number Two

Jayden's POV
It's Friday night and I'm waiting with Liz for Hayes to pick me up. I have no clue as to where we are going, he said dress casual. I did as I was told and decided to wear a tournament shirt and some skinny jeans with my white converse. This is basically my go to outfit, because if you look in my closet it is all tournament shirts. I go on my phone to check my twitter and see
I have a few notifications. I was about to check them when the doorbell rings. I unlock the door and see Hayes with a big smile. Liz quickly joins me.
"Okay Grier, I'm trusting you with my best friend, don't screw this up, okay?" Liz says as she raises an eyebrow.
"I'll try my best." Hayes says as I walk out the door with him.
"Where's Nash?" I ask since I didn't see the car.
"Dang, I thought you were on a date with me," Hayes says acting hurt, "just kidding, I told him that we didn't need a ride because we're just going down the block." He says as he shoves his hands in his pockets.
"I see, and where are we going?" I say hoping he'll tell me now.
"The bowling alley..." He says with a smirk.
"Hayes! I told you at the park I don't know how to bowl and every time I try it always goes in the gutter!" I say trying to act mad.
"You're a horrible actress." Hayes says as he lets out a laugh. I stick my tongue out at him and continue walking.

We finally get to the bowling alley and Hayes pays for our lane. I told him I would pay since he paid for dinner last time, but he argued that you never let the girl pay for anything when you're on a date with her. I argued more, but finally caved. We get our shoes and walk over to our lane.
"So, why did you bring me to the bowling alley if you knew I couldn't bowl?" I say as I pick up my ball since I have to go first. I feel something grab my waist and turn it a bit and then something else on my hand as I place my fingers in the holes. I turn around to see Hayes, "because I wanted to do this....if I took you to something you're good at then I couldn't show you how to do it." He says with a smirk. He then walks behind me and guides the ball out of my hands and tells me to let go. Strike.
"Oh my gosh! Did you see that!? That was a strike!" I say to him as I turn around in shock.
"What can I say you're a natural." He says as he smirks.
"Okay Grier, your turn." I say as I take a seat on the couch by our lane.

We bowl and bowl and bowl until we finally can't do it anymore without our arms falling off. We sit down on the couch close to our lane and begin to talk, "You know you're very smooth Grier." I say as he sits down next to me.
"Really, how so?" He says with a smile.
"Well, I've gone on two dates with you so far and both times you've done something that you would see in movies." I say and he gives me a confused face so I decide to explain, "On the first date you sat on the same side of the booth as me, a very classic move that normally happens in the movies. Then, tonight you took me bowling since I didn't know how so you could get up close and personal as you show me how to bowl properly." I say as I raise an eyebrow.
"Well would you rather me just get up and personal without a reasonable explanation?" He says with a smirk. We talk a little longer, then we leave the bowling alley.
We get outside and he blends over and tells me to hop onto his back. I do as I'm told and he supports me by wrapping his hands around my thighs. We start walking home and he keeps making me laugh, I love that about him. We get to my house and he puts me down.
"I had a great time bowling with you tonight Hayes." I say when I get down from his back.
"I had an amazing time too, you were really getting the hang of bowling towards the end." He says with a small chuckle.
"Yeah, all thanks to you." I say with a soft smile, "Oh yeah, Liz and I have practice tomorrow, so we can't walk home with you." I finish.
"Oh, that's okay I have football anyway." He says.
"Okay I'll see you tomorrow, bye Grier." I say as I turn to unlock the door.
"Bye Jay." He says as he kisses my cheek and walks off to his house. I unlock the door and melt a little at what just happened. It was just a cheek kiss, but it was sweet. Then I run up to my room to tell Liz all about what happened tonight at the bowling alley.
