It took Sana a while, to understand everything. "How the hell am I seeing the same thing? I must have gone crazy." Sana mutter to herself as she sit quietly on the sofa in the living room. Hands gripping on the rough material of the sofa as her eyes wander through the living room.
"His face are so clear, like he's really standing before me." She whispers to herself.
"Really?" Akira's voice greet her after and Sana looks at him quietly, not even flinching. "You do know him, Sana." Akira said and Sana frowns at him, shaking her head. "Trust me, I've been digging up about your whole background for years. He's your uncle." Akira said once again.
Sana stares at him blankly. "No way." Sana whisper, but Akira can hear her as he raised the glass filled with red wine in it with a nod. Sana refuse to believe him and look away, thinking.
"You met him, once. No, twice, I think. You didn't like him because he looks creepy. Though it's quite complexity that you care considering your personality." Akira chuckles, sipping on his wine.
Sana sighed, "But I don't remember meeting him. Why do I have a clear imagination of him standing before me then?" She asked, frowning.
Akira put the glass down on the table beside him. "You see, our brain remembers everything. Even the unconcious part of brain remember what we only saw once. We just didn't fully use our brain. According to my past research, we only used... in about three percents only I think?" He trailed off, thinking as he put one of his hand under his chin. "But yeah, take that as part of your brain do actually remember him." Akira said with a small smile.
"Then I must be using more than just three percents of my brain." Sana chuckles, looking away with a sly smile. "I am born to be fucking smart."
"Don't get too cocky there." He said, continue sipping on his wine.
"But that doesn't explain how what your daughter saw, is the same thing I saw." Sana continue after a long silence. She tilted her head as she looked at Akira. "I mean, did he used to do shit to me?" Sana asked.
Akira purse his lips together. "For someone too cocky of using their brain more than three percents, you sure forgets a lot, huh?" Akira taunts and Sana rolled her eyes before looking at him sharply.
But before he could speak, a scream was heard. Both of them immediately stand up, alarmed that it was Mina's voice. Akira run to her room as Sana trailed off behind him calmly with her hands inside the pocket of her hoodie. Akira was standing on the door outside of Mina's room, looking through and when he saw Sana, he gulp.
"S-she needs you." He plead and hold her arms and Sana frowned, harshly pulled away her arms as she walked inside Mina's bedroom, closing the door.
She carefully look inside the dark room to search for Mina. Mina was curling up in a ball on her bed, shaking. Sana's eyes scanned around the room, looking for signs of the man, or, her uncle. Seeing that nothing is in sight, Sana silently walked onto Mina's directly and sit on the edge of her bed.
"What's wrong?" Sana asked, her voice quiet as she looked at Mina's vulnerable state. Sana looked around her again before asking Mina the same question again, this time her voice soften. "It's okay, you can tell me what's wrong." Sana almost winced hearing her own voice being that soft and her sentences being that.. kind? Sana grimaced at herself.
Mina slowly looked at Sana, her breath shaky. Sana only observed her silently. Mina's face is wet, but not because of tears. She's sweating. Sana could see bead of sweat on the side of Mina's face. The temperature of the room is fairly cool, so what's with the sudden sweating? But Sana asked nothing as she watched Mina move closer to Sana.
Without a warning, Mina wrapped her arms around Sana and bury her face in her neck; her body relaxed at the skin contact that Sana is not fond of. But her breath is still shaky hitting on Sana's neck. "I'm scared." Mina whispers, her voice trembling as she held onto Sana tightly.
Sana almost harshly pushed her away but remain calm. Part of her that she didn't even know exist hold her down from doing any irrational things.
"He's not here." Sana said after a long silence accompany only with Mina's shaky breath throughout the silent room. "He can't do anything anymore." Sana whispered, one hand softly patting Mina's back, betraying her own expression that is frowning at her own action.
They continue being like that until Mina's breath is no longer shaking, until all the muscles and tension in Mina's body relaxed. Mina's soft breathing is the only thing Sana could hear; and that's when Sana realised that Mina had fallen asleep on her. Sana placed her hands on either side of Mina's body, wanting to put her down laying on the bed properly, but Mina whined and cling to Sana's body closer.
"Don't." Mina whispered. The entire system of body in Sana's froze, not knowing what to do now that Sana's brain didn't command a single thing to do; blank. And so, Sana had spent throughout the night not sleeping, waking and having Mina's sleeping on her, hearing Mina's soft breathing as she sleep. Sana was mostly company by only that; Mina. Not even a single thought surface in her mind to company her.
It was eight in the morning when Mina had finally woken up from her peaceful slumber. She rubbed her eyes together, opening her eyes only to closed it again because of the sunlight blinding her across the room. However, her vision behind the eyelids were a darker and she opened her eyes again and saw Sana trying to shield her from sunlight with her hand.
That was when Mina realised that she's on top of Sana. Not entirely, but. Mina opened her eyes wide as she sit up, blinking her eyes in a rapid pace. Sana only looked at her silently, not saying anything.
"Do--Do I really fell asleep like this?" Mina had asked, disbelief. Seeing Sana only nodding her head twice, Mina bit her lips. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She apologized, slightly panicking. Fully aware that Sana is not accustomed to such contacts of skin.
"Do you?" Sana asked, half taunting as she still not moving from her position, still leaning on the head of the bed; like she did all night.
"W-what do you mean?" Mina slightly stammered, frowning a bit.
Sana rolled her eyes and lightly chuckled. "You said don't when I wanted to move." Sana told her, amused.
"No... Do I?" Mina anxiously looked at her through her long lashes.
Sana simply shook her head and finally get up from the bed. Sana stretched herself a bit, relieving the stiffen muscles because of last night.
Sana walked to the door of the bedroom until Mina's voice run through her ears across the room. "I'm sorry." Mina apologised, Sana turned her head to look at Mina, head hung down on the soft mattress as her fingers fiddling with each other. "For making you uncomfortable." Mina said, still not looking at her.
Sana says nothing, and so Mina continued. "And thank you..." She trailed off, hesitate but said it anyway, "For making me comfortable." Mina said, finally looking up at Sana with a sincere smile. Sana looked away almost immediately, feeling her heart thumping loudly.
It must have been because of the lack of sleep. "Whatever." She quietly said and pulled the door open and walked out, closing the door and leaning against it as she put her hand on her heart, feeling it still pumping so violently.
She sighed, "What was that?" The imagine of Mina's sincere smile burning in her mind. It was the first time Mina had smiled to Sana, and the first time someone giving her a smile without any intentions or feeling behind, just pure plain of thankful.
Sana inched herself away from the door, glaring at it sharply. "You don't get to make me thinking about stupid nonsense." She whispered, her voice sharp though no one could heard her.
Sana then walked away, unbeknownst to her, Mina had also sit silently on her bed, unmoving as she looked at the head of her bed, imagining picture of Sana holding her all night while she was sleeping.
A slow smile made its way onto Mina's scarlet lips.
