Jasmine and Dj stood outside of her house. Tonight was the night. Dj was finally going to meet Jasmines mother. He was really nervous and hoped everything would go well.

"You ready?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah. You?" Dj asked.

Jasmine chuckled. "Course I am. She my mom, remember?"

"Right. I guess I'm still nervous." Dj said.

"Don't be, you'll do great." Jasmine then opened the door, and the couple entered the house. "Mom!" Jasmine called out.

"In the kitchen!" Leslie responded.

The couple walked into the kitchen and found Leslie cooking.

"Hey mom, you remember Dj?" Jasmine asked.

"'Course I do." Leslie said.

"Good evening, Mrs Bennett." Dj greeted. "It's good to see you again."

"Good of you to use the front door and not Jasmines window for a change." Leslie said, and Dj scratched his head.

"Yeah, sorry about that, Mrs Bennett." Dj apologized.

"It's alright. We're gonna talk about that later." Leslie said.

"Mom!" Jasmine exclaimed.

"Why don't y'all sit and watch some TV while I get dinner started." Leslie suggested. "Rue should be home any minute."

"Fine." Jasmine grumbled. She and Dj watched TV with Gia for an hour, and after Leslie was finished cooking, they sat at the table and ate. After dinner, Leslie wanted to speak to Dj alone.

"Her dad would've done this. I gotta play both roles since he's not here." Leslie said. "She's a good girl. She has a big heart. She always puts others first. Which is why you gotta put her first."

"I will, Mrs Bennett." Dj said.

"It won't be easy, but I believe you can." Leslie said. "Even if y'all ain't gonna marry and have kids, I just need somebody to put Jaz first."

"You have my word." Dj looked at Jasmine, who was sitting on the couch and watching TV with her sisters. "She's everything to me."

"Good. Cause of you hurt her, I'll hurt you." Leslie warned.

"I wouldn't have any other way, Mrs Bennett." Dj said. Dj walked to his girlfriend and sat next to her. "What are you watching?" He asked.

"Titanic." Jasmine answered.

"Like a documentary?" Dj asked.

"No, the movie." Jasmine said.

"Wait. Did they make a movie?" Dj asked.

"You've never watched the movie?" Jasmine asked.

"No." Dj said.

"This is Jasmines all-time favorite movie, and you haven't even watched it?" Gia asked.

"Honestly, when she said she liked the Titanic, I thought she meant the real life event of it." Dj defended.

"Okay, so now we have to watch it from the beginning." Jasmine said.

"No. Boo." Rue threw some popcorn at Jasmine.

"Dj hasn't watched it." Jasmine argued.

"Yeah, using me doesn't help yourself." Dj chuckled.

"Babe. C'mon, please." Jasmine begged.

"Fine." Dj said, and Jasmine played the movie from the beginning. As soon as the movie was finished, Jasmine anxiously waited for Dj's response. "I still don't get it." He said.
