Tenth Chapter: Did he say Liquor?

A/N: Hii everyone! So I haven't updated this book since December 16 2023 so I'm really behind on my updates since it's currently May 31 2023! I'll be trying to update more often it honestly slips my mind and I've been starting new stories which I shouldn't be but I have!!

As Xuanyu and Hanguang Jun walked off to speak to Lan Huan the disciples all decided to go inside the inn. It was getting colder out and they needed some rest after being stuck in the ghost town. Daiyu just walked next to Suzhui and didn't speak like usual. Inside the Inn they all just spoke to eachother but then the conversation changed.

The conversation had changed but not to a good topic. Jin Ling was getting upset because of the topic they were on and he decided to yell to solve the problem. "Weren't you just talking about Xue Yang just then?" Jin Ling yelled. "Why are we bringing up Wei Ying?" Then a crash was heard.

"Wei Ying is worse than an animal. Wei Ying is even more disgusting compared to Xue Yang." Jin Ling exclaimed. All the disciples could do was listen to Jin Ling's yells. "Simply by letting this creole love would be an act of evil." Jin Ling said. "They should all be killed!" He yelled ever louder.

Daiyu couldn't help but stare at Jin Ling in utter disbelief. Her face still unemotional but still shocked. How could he speak of Wei Ying in that form? It only made it worse because she knew that Hanuguang Jun would hear everything including the very person they spoke of. Wei Ying.

Daiyu was pulled out of her thoughts as she heard Jingyi speak. "Why are you so angry?" He asked. "Sizhui didn't say that Wei Wuxian shouldn't be killed. He was just saying that the person of demonic cultivation may not all be like Xue Yang." Jingyi said defending Sizhui. Sizhui was rather soft spoken so he wouldn't try and say anything back.

"Do you really have to make a scene, Young master Jin?" Daiyu asked as she just held her sword tightly in her hand. She hated with a passion when people spoke to Sizhui in a harsh manner but she wouldn't say anything unless she felt like she had to. That being said because she knew Jingyi would speak up for him. She would rather observe and be rational when she would speak.

Jin Ling scowled a bit. "Didn't he say something else Lady Lan?" Jin Ling asked. "The person of demonic cultivation may not use the power to do evil! Who is the 'person of demonic cultivation'?" Jin Ling asked.

"Tell me! Besides Wei Ying, who else is there?" Jin Ling asked stepping closer towards Jingyi, Sizhui and Daiyu.  "You puzzled me. After all, the Lan Clan of Gusu is an influential gentry family. What Wei Wuxian did back then is known to us all. How can you take a bizarre stance when it comes to your opinions? Do you want to justify Wei Ying's behavior? " Jin Ling said.

Soon enough Sizhui had enough and spoke up. "I didn't want to justify his behavior. I just suggest that before knowing the context of the matter, we should not pass judgement randomly." Sizhui explained. He was one to think before speaking much like Daiyu did.

Daiyu just listened carefully not wanting to miss a detail of the argument in case she needed to jump in. "In those days, many cultivators died because of him, Wen Ning, and the Stygian Tiger Amulet in the incident at Quingqi Way and the bloodbath of Nightless City. This is an incontrovertible fact. Can't we pass judgment now?" Jin Ling said. He was getting angrier by the second.

Sizhui took a deep breath in as he listened. "He instigated Wen Ning to kill my father and got my mother killed." Jin Ling said. When Daiyu heard Jin Ling's words she got angry. Very angry.

She knew for a fact that Wei Ying loved Jin Ling's mother. They were adopted siblings. Everyone knew how close Wei Ying was to the Jiang siblings so it was unbelievable that Jin Ling didn't know it.

"I will never forget that feud. How can you justify his behavior?" Jin Ling said. Before anyone could speak again Daiyu decided it was a moment that she needed to speak for.

"Ridiculous." Daiyu said quietly causing the Disciples to turn to look at her. "Excuse me?" Jin Ling said. He was offended now. Sizhui looked at Daiyu and shook his head. "I'll just apologize." He whispered which made her shake her head.

"Young master Jin, if anyone in your family hasn't taught you anything about Wei Wuxian you would know that he and your mother Jiang Yanli before marriage were close. You would also know it was thanks to him that your parents got wedded. It's so incredibly ridiculous that you're talking about someone your mother loved till the last second of her life. He even helped pick your name. It's very unfortunate that you didn't get to truly know him and the great person Wei Wuxian was." Daiyu said. She was incredibly angry.

It was so unfair that people could pin everything on someone who was already deceased because of what they did when they lived. She also knew a million different things about Wei Wuxian because she'd ask Hanguang Jun.

Everyone was speechless but then Jin Ling spoke. "Are you crazy? You're being ridiculous Lady Lan! You don't know anything about my mother! Thanks to Wei Wuxian she's dead!" He exclaimed.

"Young Master Jin, please just sit down and enjoy your dinner." Suzhui said speaking up. "I'm sorry for not taking consideration of what I spoke of." Sizhui said putting his hands together and bowing. Jin Ling glared at Daiyu and Sizhui before he started to made his way to sit as he was Hanguang Jun walked in which ushered the disciples to bow. "Liquor." Hanguang Jun simply said.

That was enough to make all the disciples look at him in shock. Sizhui couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and make slight eyes as he heard Hanguang Jun. Hanguang Jun then moved to look at him which caused Sizhui to look down. That's when Jingyi looked at Sizhui and Daigu. "Lady Lan, Sizhui go." He said in a whisper as everyone made there way to sit down at there designated spots.

As Jingyi, Daigu and Sizhui sat both Daigu and Sizhui stared at Hanguang Jun whilst Jingyi ate. "Did I just see things incorrectly?" Sizhui asked the two. Daigu just stared at him before she began to eat. She wasn't surprised because she was sure it was for Wei Ying.

"What?" Jingyi asked. "It was liquor that Hanguang Jun was holding." Sizhui said. As he said that Jingyi's chicken fell out of his mouth which made Sizhui grab it and feed it to him. As Daigu saw the scene she smiled softly.

Soon enough then Sizhui began to eat his own food. He didn't want to speak of what they had all scene. Now all that could be heard inside was the clatter of everyone eating.
