A few months later, with both of her best friend's support, Lauren's situation had gotten much better.

She started having three meals everyday. She wouldn't violently cry over Jacob and the empty space at the side of the bed every single night anymore. But she still couldn't entirely let it go.

Lauren also haven't touched the newspaper nor watch the news on the television for months. She was too fragile to receive anymore depressing news. She felt like this was the best way to heal her mind.

Lauren still make appointments and goes to the police station to check on Jacob's case occasionally. For the past few months, Agent Moscoon still couldn't find any clue on who was murderer of Jacob.

Amelia has been offering Lauren to live with her and Korra, but she refused every time. She didn't want to be a burden to them.

Although it would be really fun living with your best friends. Living alone isn't really good after all.

Thank god I ain't afraid of isolation.....and the dark.

One random day, Lauren went to the police station once again.

However, Agent Moscoon wasn't outside the police station.

Right.....I've forgotten to make an appointment with him.....

Never mind. He's probably inside.

Now I think of it, why does he want to meet me outside every time?

She decided not to think too much about it and dialled the number Agent Moscoon gave me.

He didn't answer the call.

Lauren went in the police station to check if he was in there.
