As the elevator doors open, I step through and am met with the sight of the hallway on Velvette's level. I take in my surroundings before I make my way to her studio.

I continue to walk down the hall until I reach Velvette's studio and walk into the room. I see Velvette in the middle of the room looking at one of her models with narrow eyes.

"Hey Velvette. You said you needed help with something?" I ask as I stand next to her. Velvette's head turns quickly towards me as I speak, her attention pulled away from the model in front of her. "Valerie! So glad you could make it!" She exclaims, her usual excitement showing as she speaks.

Her expression drops as she looks back at the model however. I look at her as well and can see she's trying to look anywhere but at Velvette.

"I can't tell if the outfit is ugly or if it's the model." Velvette sighs out frustrated. I glance at the model and see she's close to breaking down as tears well in her eyes.

I walk up to her putting my hand on her shoulder as I circle around her. "You're alright darling." My voice comes out soft and alluring and she immediately untenses as a calming aura washes over her.

My eyes glow vibrantly as I use my powers on her before I step back towards Velvette. "Something's off about the outfit I think." I say next to her as our eyes both scan the model.

Velvette nods as she looks at the outfit again. "You're right, the outfit seems off to me as well. Maybe it's the way they combined the colors and the patterns?" She suggests.

"Hmm. That might be it." I say as I tilt my head continuing to look at the outfit. Velvette and I continue to study the outfit, searching for what's wrong with it. The model stands quietly as we examine the outfit.

"Maybe it's the pattern on the top?" I suggest, trying to figure out what's wrong with the outfit.

Her eyes widen and a grin appears on her face once I suggest it. "Yes! That's gotta be it! Good eye, Valerie." She says as she looks at me and winks.

"Glad I could help." I smile at her. "You sure did. Now let me go ask this dumbass model to try a different outfit on." She says with an annoyed groan as she looks at the model again before walking over to the model.

I decide to keep her in the illusion I created so she doesn't burst when Velvette begins speaking to her. I'll release her before I leave Velvette's floor.

After about an hour passes of re-trying on multiple outfits, Velvette finally is happy with the outfit that's chosen for the model. "Perfect! I think this is it!" She exclaims with a proud smile as she claps her hands.

The model lets out a breath of relief and quickly begins changing out of the outfit to the original clothes they wore when coming into the studio.

Velvette watches happily as the model changes back into her original outfit, looking back at me with a pleased expression. "Glad that's finally over." She mutters before a proud grin appears on her face.

"Oh I can definitely tell." I tease. "Shut up." She says jokingly with a chuckle as she pushes me gently with her elbow.

I then remember what I wanted to talk with her about. "Since I'm here, want to go over the type of music you want for your fashion show? I have songs already picked out that I think will work well but I'd like your input as well."

Velvette's face lights up as I mention the fashion show music. "Yes! I've already thought about some ideas that I think would go together perfectly." She says as she grabs her phone from a table nearby and scrolls through it.

I glance over her shoulder as she opens up the playlist she created. I scan over the songs quickly before humming. "Hmm alright. I have a few of those in my line up. Are there any specific ones you absolutely want?"

Velvette continues scrolling through her playlist until she reaches one song in particular. "This one has to be included. I need this song, it's just so perfect for this fashion show." She says as she looks at me with a determined look in her eyes.

I nod my head. "Perfect, I'll add it to my soundtrack for you." Velvette's expression is filled with a genuine excitement as I agree to include that particular song in the soundtrack.

"Yes! It's gonna be so perfect. I can already envision it." She says with a big grin as she claps her hands together.

I sit in my office as I mess with the soundtrack for the upcoming fashion show. Between meshing songs together and choosing an order based on when each outfit will be shown takes up a lot of time but I enjoy doing it.

I better enjoy it considering it's my job at least. I was always a music lover when I was alive. I loved music so much to the point I would produce music for singers as well as sing myself sometimes.

Guess that's why I'm stuck with controlling all aspects of music down here. I let out a little huff as I begin having trouble incorporating the song Velvette wants.

Velvette's song is proving to be quite difficult to incorporate into the soundtrack, almost seeming to clash with the other songs I've included. I struggled for a while to make the song fit with the other songs in the soundtrack, but to no avail.

After much trial and error with different techniques to make the song fit better, I finally manage to find a way to successfully incorporate Velvette's song into the soundtrack.

The flow of the soundtrack feels much smoother now and each song blends seamlessly with one another.

I sit back in my chair letting out a satisfied sigh. My happiness is short-lived when I see Vox FaceTiming me. "Why in the world would he need to FaceTime me?" I mutter before answering it.

As I answer the call, Vox's face immediately appears on the screen and his voice comes out with a bit of a frustrated tone. "Hey, Killjoy wants a new soundtrack for a new segment she's working on." he says, cutting to the chase.

I raise an eyebrow at him. "And she couldn't tell me this herself why?" Vox sighs as he looks at me, a slight hint of exasperation in his tone as he continues to speak. "I asked the same thing. She said some bullshit about being too busy or something."

"Sounds like her alright." I say sighing. "Send me the basic details of what she's looking for and I'll start working on it."

He nods slightly as he holds up a stack of papers in view of his camera. "She printed everything out. I'll come up to your office to give it to you."

"Why the hell would she do that?" I groan as I pinch the bridge of my nose. Vox shrugs his shoulders as he looks at me. "Beats me. I'll be up in a minute." He replies before he hangs up.

A few minutes pass before the door to my office slowly creaks open. Vox stands in the doorway with a large stack of papers in his hands.

I raise my glasses to rest on top of my head as I rub my eyes annoyed with how many papers are in his hands. "I swear I'll bet you half of those pages have absolute nonsense on them."

Vox walks into my office and approaches my desk. The tower of papers looks like it's almost about to topple over, but somehow, it manages to remain balanced in his arms.

"I wouldn't be surprised. Killjoy doesn't exactly know how to write stuff down concisely and to the point." He agrees as he places the papers on my desk.

I place my glasses back on the bridge of my nose so I can begin skimming through the papers.

The papers are filled with Killjoy's notes which is just about as chaotic as Vox predicted and just as chaotic as I feared.

The words are written in a messy scrawl, making them difficult to read and understand. There are some diagrams and sketches as well that are equally as chaotic as the notes.

Vox stands at my side, watching as I flip through the papers. "Most of this is just her ideas for the segment. Not much on what she wants for a soundtrack." I huff out.

Vox leans over my shoulder to look at the papers with a perplexed expression. "Ah yeah, I see what you mean. She probably expects you to come up with a soundtrack based on her ideas." He says, a hint of annoyance in his tone. "Fuck me." I groan out annoyed.
