"Let the contest begin!"
The host shouted. My heart pounded in my chest like it wanted to get out,
"Good luck Silvy!" A voice shouted across me. A smile appeared on my face, it was Nemo. I only let Nemo call me that because they're my lover, it makes me feel safe.
I look at the floor and get up to go to Nemo, I lean over them a few inches, "Hey Nemo!" I say as I see a smile on their face, they hug me tight, "Hey Silvy!! I wonder who's gonna win!" They have a big grin on their face, "i hope it's one of us!" I chuckle loudly.
Our fingers interlock and we head out, "hey twinks!" Joost says, I chuckle again and smirk, I put in some airpods just as we were outside.
We finally got into our apartment and lay on the couch, Nemo put themself on top of me. More specifically my chest, "you knouw.." They said quietly, "I'm scared.." The Swiss said, "why?" I tilted my head and raised an eyebrow, "well, what if we dont get into the final? What if we don't even get into her semi-final?.." Their eyes looked at me with a mixture of fear and sadness, "don't worry, it's gonna be okay!" I ruffled their hair and started stroking it and as slow pace.
After not even 2 minutes they fell asleep, I had to get my laptop to do some work but I didn't want to wake up Nemo. But then a unexpected knock on the door came up, Im not expecting anyone? I think to myself but I had to get it. I get off the couch trying not to disturb Nemo, I finally open the door. I recognize the face immediately. "Well hello." "Wait what the HELL are you doing here?! You aren't supposed to be here!" I say in a strict tone. "Well I figured I'd stop but this time it's much more than that." "Well what the fuck do you want?" "I want Nemo." "N-NEMO?! Are you insane?!"
We got into a bit of an argument before finally they shut the door, I sighed heavily and completely forgot what I was doing so I went to the kitchen to get some food. Then I decided I'll message Bambie.
S-"Hey Bambie!"
B-"Hi!! How's Nemo?"
S-"They're sleeping right now so I'm trying to be quiet ó-ò"
B-"Sucks to be you"
S-"Shush!! Ò_Ó"
S-"Anyway I've got to go now! Ttyl!"

I put my phone down and look in the cabnet... Nothing. Except a note? It read,

What? The only person who knows my actual name was Nemo, and they only use it when they're telling me off or talking about something serious. I ripped the note up and put it in the bin, surely it meant nothing.. Right?
I didn't think anything of it, after all. It might be a prank but I know I shouldn't come to conclusions JUST yet. I found a banana.. Convenient. I guess it wouldnt hurt to eat it? I'm starving anyway.
I unpeeled the banana and bit into it, it tasted bitter. Not like any other banana it it was alright at the most, I look at the couch where Nemo was supposed to be laying but they weren't there? I let out a audible Huh? Where were they?
I turn around and see Nemo behind me, "BOO!" They let out , I chuckle loudly and hug them, "Nemo, honey what are u doing?" I say with a laugh in-between. They don't respond to me and keep hugging me. I hug them back, of course and give them a little kiss on the forehead, "alright, Ive got to go the shops really quickly, kay?" "Nooooo..." I hear them mumble, oh how could i reject them?
"Alright alright.." I smile and sigh. I just hope nothing happens to us.. To them .
