008. LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Chapter eight

"Little black dress."

Having gone back home, Diana had told Belly and Susannah how she had a date to the drive in movie theater with a boy named Cam, who Susannah seemed to know his mom from the club, saying he was a very nice and smart boy, where Diana had changed out of her fascinator and purple dress, where she had taken her hair down and was wearing the little black dress as she had sandals on, she stood in the mirror in Susannah's room as she put her lipstick on, Belly was smiling at her as she sat on the bed.

While Susannah sat on the couch nearby as she put her shoes on "you look really cute. You are gonna have so much fun tonight." she shared, as Diana turned to her "I'm actually really excited." she shared, as their mom walked into the room "you look nice, hon." she said "I'm just surprised she's wearing her hair down. I swear every year I'm fighting on her to do so. Not that I don't love your hairstyles." Susannah shared, as Diana chuckled, turning around and grabbing her bag, having given Jeremiah all the snacks she stole when she got back, it now just had her phone and wallet in it as she put her lipstick back inside.

"Have fun tonight." Belly and Susannah told her "thank you." Diana told them, chuckling, as Belly stood up to follow her out "are you not driving with us?" their mom asked "well.." Diana told her, as Susannah stood up "didn't Diana tell you? She has a date." she shared "sorry, mom. His name is Cam." Diana shared "yeah, his mom works at the club. Really nice boy, very smart." Susannah shared "and we met way back in seventh grade at the latin convention." Diana shared "to where I'm just gonna have to do for the night compared to both of us." Belly shared, putting her arm around Diana "stop." Diana told her, laughing, as Belly laughed with her.

"It's fine." their mom told them, laughing "of course you can go. I dragged you to enough of these book parties over the years. Have a great date." their mom shared "oh, thank you, mom!" Diana voiced, turning and hugging Susannah, she then walked over to their mom and hugged her, as she walked out of the room, Belly followed after her "I can't believe your going on a date! Like an actual date!" she voiced, as Diana turned to her and shushed her, as the two laughed, they then began singing, little black dress by one direction as they walked down the hallway.

The two turned facing each other and smiling, as they stood near the railing of the stairs to head down, the two did a little dance.

"Little black dress
Did you come here alone?

It's too late to go home."

Belly then turned heading down the stairs, as Diana followed after her.

The two then danced down the hallway to the living room, where they new the boys were.

Laughing, Diana and Belly looked to the living room, seeing even with their singing, the guys were still so focused on their video game they hadn't noticed them yet "I'm leaving!" Diana voiced, hoping to get their attention, Jeremiah turned from the screen looking at her and when he did, he looked at her eyes wide, as Belly leaned toward's Diana "well, that's new." she whispered to her, with a smile on her face, as Diana smiled.
