The next day as I'm getting ready to go to school, I am met with someone banging on my front door at seven in the morning. 

I literally just woke up as I'm wearing a white spaghetti strap and gray sweatpants.

"Rylie get the damn door!" my mom screams at me from her bedroom.

"Oh my god I'm coming!" I yell at the front door as I rush down the stairs. I swing the door open and tilt my head up at my tall neighbor towering over me, he looks very angry... also like he hasn't slept in five days. 

"Can I help you?" I say before Aaron pushes past me and welcomes himself into my very comfortable home. 

I roll my eyes and close the door. "Aaron, it's too early for this. Go home." I tell him. 

"Ry who is it?" my mom yells up from her bedroom, again.

"Just some kids selling Girl Scout cookies!" I reply.

"This early?" I hear my mom ask herself.

He aggressively pushes his dark hair away from him face before grabbing my wrist and leading me up to my room. Like I don't already know where that is. 

Aaron slams the door behind me and starts pacing. Is he going insane or something?

"Uhm, Aaron..." I awkwardly call out. 

He turns around.

"You're dating Zach." he tells me. So that's what this was about.

I roll my eyes and cross my arms around my chest. "If this is what you were banging on my door about, you can leave." 

Aaron takes a few small steps towards me, "Rose, this isn't a joke." he seethes. "Zach is dangerous."

"Dangerous how?"

He glides a stressed hand over his face. "That doesn't fuckin' matter." his voice more calm now, "Your going to get hurt, and trust me when I tell you that Zach doesn't have good intentions, he never does."

"I'll be fine, Aaron." I walk to my closet door and open it to pick out an outfit. "I don't need someone who hates me to look out for me, I can look out for myself."

I hear him pacing again. "Rylie just hear me out, you need someone this time because once Zach doesn't like one thing you fuckin' do he will change you." I hear him walk behind me, "He did it with Willow, and Amm and next is you."

Anna?

I turn around and look up at him. "Aaron I'll be fine." I reassure him before putting my hand on his chest and gently pushing him out of my closet. "Now go home I need to get ready."

He shakes his head and puts his hands on my waist, "Rose, don't do this." he pleads now looking sad, all signs of anger washed away. 

I tilt my head to examine him before putting both my hands on his cheeks, cradling him. "I'll be okay." 

Aaron shakes his head once more before releasing me and walking towards the exit to my room. "But if he does anything, come to me and I'll handle it." and with that, he exits my room. Leaving me alone with my thoughts.

A FEW WEEKS LATER

The next few days were a little odd, Kasey hasn't been at school and hasn't been answering any of my texts, I even went to her house and her parents told me she wasn't home.

 Aaron has gone completely M.I.A. And anytime I talk to Dylan and Grayson they have kept the conversation short and vague. They probably both know about Zach and I but haven't spoken anything of it.

But things in my new relationship are getting better. Zach has been really touchy which makes me a little uncomfortable but we have talked about that boundary. 

I pick out my outfit for the day and decide on a tank top with a denim mini skirt, Zach has been constantly trying to get me out of my comfort with my style.

So yesterday he took me on a huge shopping spree and got me clothes that old me wouldn't even consider wearing.

And these past few weeks, I've been sitting with Zach and his friends, he says that I should expand my friend group.

I grab my backpack and head downstairs to grab a quick breakfast, and as I enter the kitchen I see Ruby eating a bowl of cereal, "Woah, what the heck are you wearing?" she gapes at me. 

I giggle, "Clothes?" 

Ruby shakes her head like she's in disbelief, "Are you wearing that to school or the club?" 

I grab an apple from the fridge and take a bite before saying, "I'm just exploring my style." I swallow, "I'll see you later though, I gotta go."

And with that I exit the house and am on my way to school. 

I enter the building and walk the halls of the hell before reaching my locker and punching in the code. 

"Hey baby," I hear a deep voice behind me.

I turn around and see Zach eyeing me like candy, "Hi!" I joyfully say. He grabs my waist and pulls me into him, landing a gentle kiss on my lips.

"I'll see you in fifth period, yeah?" 

I nod and kiss his cheek before he walks off to his friends, and high fives one of them.

Thats when I feel a tap on my shoulder, I see a girl. Completely opposite features as me. Blonde hair that goes down to her shoulders, and gorgeous green eyes.

'You're dating him right?" the girl looks over to Zach. I nod and smile. 

"What's your name?" I ask her. 

"Anna," she pauses to examine my face. "Rylie right?"

I nod once more. "Why are you asking if I'm dating Zach?"

Anna smiles. "How about we meet somewhere after school? I can go more in depth then." she then reaches in her pocket and gives me a piece of paper. "Thats my number, text me and I'll send you the info."

I grab the piece of paper and look up at her. "Why?"

Thats when Anna's eyes soften, and she looks at me with so much sympathy I don't even know how to describe it. "Because you deserve to know everything." she sincerely smiles, "I know how you feel." 

Anna is Zach's ex girlfriend. 

And she is going to confirm everything I need to know.
