A/N: OMG WE R ST 1000 READS AHHH TY SMM 💝
AARON
What the fuck just happened? I ask myself as I pull into my driveway.
I had dropped Rylie off at the pier next to her car, and I also had luckily beat her back home because it appears her car isn't even in the driveway.
I kick my gear down and turn the key over and out of the bike. I climb off and pull my head out of the matte black helmet.
If only my bitch of a dad would let me keep my motorcycle, the only reason I even have it is because I bought it with money from a bet I made. Best ten thousand dollars I've ever spent.
And just as I place my hand on the front doorknob, I hear a car pull up.
Not behind me but next to me, I turn my head to the Rose house and see Rylie's white Lexus pulling into the driveway.
We almost immediately make eye contact as she steps out of the car.
"Rose," I call out to her, she ignores me by throwing up the middle finger and continuing her way to her front door. "Rose!" I call out again, this time I'm following her to her front door, "Hey, can we just talk?" I try grabbing her shoulder to stop her from walking any further.
"No, Aaron. Leave me alone." is all she says as she pushes my hand off.
"Please can we just talk?" I plead as she digs in her bag, probably looking for her house keys.
"No,"
I continue to stand behind Rylie, refusing to leave without talking to her first. When all of a sudden, she starts banging on the door.
And after a few moments of the continuous knocking she mumbles to herself, "No ones home." before continuing to dig around in the bag.
She even goes as far as to dump out all the contents on the wooden porch, "Where are they?" she continuously whispers to herself as she mindlessly crawls on the ground still looking for her keys.
"Rylie," I say after a few moments.
She shoots up from the ground. "What!" she shouts in my face, "What the fuck do you want, Aaron?"
"Let's talk." I softly tell her before grabbing ahold of her wrist.
Rylie shakes her head, "What's there to talk about?" she aggressively pulls her arm back. "We kissed, I have a boyfriend, we stay friends. End of story."
"No, not end of story." I spit at her, "Rylie we fucking kissed, okay? And that was the first time I had actually kissed someone and meant it." I shake my head and look down. "Y'know what, never mind. Go back to your shitty ass fucking boyfriend."
This was a bad idea. Maybe Rylie wasn't who I thought she was.
I take one long look at her face. Her brown orbs threatening to fall with tears, her long brown hair in a messy low pony. I take a step back before turning on my heels and leaving her on her porch.
"Wait," Rylie hollers to me. I turn my head back around to see her standing at the top step. "It's not what you think it is, I just I really need to figure out some shit right now."
I nod and throw her a soft smile before continuing my way back to my house.

I put a cigarette to my lips and flick the lighter. I see the tip of it light up as I inhale.
"Can I try?" Owen asks from behind me, I turn my head to his direction to see him laying on my bed with his phone in hand.
"Fuck no," I tell him before turning back to my bedroom window.
I look up at the sky, the moon. Do you ever just wonder where you would be if you weren't living? Because I do, and maybe it isn't normal to be asking yourself where you would be if you were dead, but it's a genuine question.
And all of a sudden I hear a loud knock on my door, I shake my head and take one more puff of the cigarette before flicking it out my window. I swing my bedroom door open and make my way downstairs.
"Someone get the door!" My father yells from somewhere in the house.
"Yep, I got it!" I say back. I grab the front door knob and pull it open.
"Kasey?" I say, a shocked expression appearing on my face. "Where the hell have you been? No one has heard from you for a super fuckin' long time."
I look at Kasey. Her hair in a messy bun, wearing black sweatpants and gray hoodie. Her face looks like she hasn't slept in days, her eyes hallow, and face pale.
"C-can we talk?" She asks ignoring my question and fidgeting with her hoodie sleeves.
I open the door wider, welcoming her in. "Uhm, yeah sure." I agree. I wait for her to enter before closing and locking the door. I lead her up into my room where Owen lies on my bed. "Alright Owen, time for you to get ready for bed."
He looks up to me and rolls his brown eyes before climbing off my bed. "Hi Kasey." he greets her before exiting my room and going to his own which is just down the hall.
I let Kasey get comfortable on my bed before popping the question. "What's up?"
I allow her to take her time responding because for whatever reason she is shaken up.
She places her hand on the back of her neck and sighs. "Can you tell me exactly what happened at the track that one time?"
I confused expression takes over my face, "What are you talking about?"
She scoffs. "When Zach said what he said." her voice trails off, as she moves a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear.
"Oh," is all the comes out of my mouth. "Yeah, of course."
And so I explain every little detail, how he said it, how proud he looked when those absolutely disgusting words let his mouth. And even how Grayson defended both Rylie and Kasey.
Our little story time ends with Kasey sobbing in her hands.
"I-I just really thought Zach and I were good friends." She sniffles in her sleeves, "I m-mean we've known each other for such a freaking long time and all this time h-he's been thinking about screwing m-me? And my best friend, you know how disgusting that is, Aaron?"
I shake my head and look with at her, my eyes filled with sympathy. "No, I have no idea. But it's even worse now because Zach and Ros--Rylie are dating."
Kasey immediately looks up at me, her eyes still leaking tears, her nose red and cheeks redder. "They're what." her face lighting up with anger. "Aaron, what the hell? You didn't even tell her what he said about us?"
I shake my head in defeat, "No--I--well it's hard to explain but not really."
"Not really? What do you mean by not really? Zach is dating Rylie just to have sex with her, you know that right." She states. I fucked up. "We need to tell her."
I put my face in my hands. "Yes, I agree. But she isn't in the right mindset right now." I explain.
"Okay then, tomorrow."
"Okay, we tell her tomorrow."
