///NEXT DAY (AT UNI)

"Yayyy, the exam is finally over!" Minhee cheered, wrapping her arms around me. "Yeah...." I nodded. "Oh! Its Yeonjun!" She squealed in excitement. I watched as the girl went to greet him . He returned her smile politely. My eyes drifted from Minhee to Yeonjun. They looked so good together...
Minhee is tall and pretty, and very talented too. I couldn't help but divert my gaze from them.

You've to let go of this dumb feelings Y/N!!...

"Hey y/n, heuning and the others are going to the party tonight, let's join them!" Minhee said to me. "Uhm, okay..."

///TIME SKIP (AT THE CLUB)

I regret to join them. Everyone was enjoying the party except me. Minhee had all her attention on Yeonjun the whole time. "Oh my god! Thats my favourite song!" She gasped turning to yeonjun. "Yeonjun! Come dance with me!" "Huh? But—" yeonjun glanced at me. "Are you okay on your own? I nodded and waved a hand. "Of course, i'm with them, you go now."

After they had left, i sighed and got up. Huening glanced up. "Leaving already?" "Yeah..." i shrugged at him.

Yeonjun's pov

The girl pulled me to a corner. "What is it Minhee ?" I just saw y/n leaving the seat, and wondered if she's heading home. She had been acting weird lately. Minhee suddenly leaned in very close making me back against the wall. She ran a finger on my cheek.

"I.... Like you!" I blinked and gaped as if she was speaking a different language. "Uhhh..." I brushed her hand away and stepped aside. "Did i miss something?" I said in pure confusion. "Didn't i just confess to you? I like you Yeonjun." It took me a few seconds to understand her words. "Sorry minhee." I chuckled awkwardly. "I dont like you the way you like me..."

I turned to leave but she caught my arm. "No! Dont go!" "Minhee i dont have time for this—"
"Unless you tell me there's someone in your heart! Or i wont give up on you!"

Y/n's pov

I came out of the washroom and nearly collided with a guy. He looked up with a dazed look. Okay, he"s drunk...

"Hi girlie...." He grinned. Ewww, his breath smells like dead fish!!! He grabbed my arm.
"Come with me, sweetie." I struggled but he pulled me closer to him. His body odour was suffocating me. "Let go, you pig!" I was about to scream but a hand gripped his collar and ripped me apart from him. Yeonjun! His knuckles were turning white.

"Lay a finger on her again and i'll send you to hell!" he snarled. The man gulped. "H-hey man, i'm j-just kidding, okay?" "Get lost." After the man had gone, Yeonjun turned to me and asked. "You okay?" I nodded , huge relief he came to save me.

"Lets get out of here..." He took my hand and led the way. Suddenly minhee appeared before us. Her eyes went wide and she glanced from me to yeonjun. I was shocked to see her smeared mascara . "Just in time, " yeonjun spoke and i felt his fingers interlocking with mine. He held up our holding hands. "Here's my proof, the person i'v liked from a long time is Y/N."

Wait. WHAAAAT?!
"Y-yeonjun, what are you talking about?!" I tried to break free at the same time glancing at minhee. She shook her head in disappointment and disbelief. "And i want her to be my girlfriend!" His words made my stomach churn. No,no,no.... This is soo wrong! "Minhee don't believe him—" yeonjun was already dragging me away.

///AT HOME

"Have you lost your mind?? How can you say such things to Minhee?!!" I wanted to slap him right now. "All i did was jusy reject her confession, whats wrong with that?" "What's wrong??? It's because you are using me as a—" " i am not using you, and i'm telling the truth!" He cut in hotly. "The person i like is you not her!!" I shook my head. "Choi yeonjun, you've gone too far this time." Do i look like teasing you right now?" Yeonjun held my gaze. I couldn't read his expressions at all!

"If you still think i'm kidding with you then let me make it clear," he said firmly.
Stop it, stop it.....
"Y/n i like you, since a very long time! I've always liked you and only you!" After knowing him for so many years,this is the first time I couldn't meet him in the eye. "Y/n...." "No!!!" I backed away. "....j-just leave me..." and with that i left to my room slamming the door shut with pure anger.

///TIME SKIP (AT UNI)

One look at my latest result had nearly made me pass out. Its worse than i ever thought. Yeonjun received his paper with an A on it. Great. I even lost the bet.

"Minhee, wait! Wait up!" I ran to her. "Leave me alone, choi y/n." I caught her arm. "I dont know why yeonjun said those things, but trust me! He's just making me look bad! He always does that—" "Enough!" The girl fixed her piercing glare on me. I am not blind! No matter how much i tried to get his attention, yeonjun always has his eyes on you! And i bet you like him too! My heart imploded. "Thats not true!" Minhee stepped closer and gripped my shoulders, her nails dug into my flesh.

"Why does it always have to be you?! What does he see in you?! Is it because of your pretty little face?!" I shrank from her in horror, gaping at her face contorted by pure hatred and jealousy. "You're disgusting.." she hissed. I searched her face, she was no longer the girl i knew. Then she left. My trembling feet rooted to the ground. I didn't realise my tears were running down my face until a thumb came to brush them away.

My eyes lifted and met yeonjun's . He reached for my hand. I withdrew it instantly. "Dont touch me as you wish, Choi Yeonjun!" He satred at me in confusion and scowled. "I don't see any reason for you to hate me, y/n!" "NO??!" I pounded his chest angrily. "Because of you! Minhee hates me to the bone! Because of your selfishness, i lost my only friend!" "You call that s friend?! She doesn't deserve to be one! You saw her true colours now, didn't you?" I was going to argue but Yeonjun continued. "And it's beyond your control if she hates you. She just cannot accept her rejection!"

I bit my bottom lip in frustration. He is right. The fact that he makes things sound so logical made me so mad. "I hate you...." I whispered.
"I hate you the most, choi Yeonjun! You are my worst enemy! You are the thorn to my flesh! You make my life miserable!" My heart ached when i said those words to him, watching his eyes flicker. ".... And even if you're the last man on earth, I won't even date you!" Yeonjun was like a rabbit in headlights. His expressions are unreadable.

I turned and ran away with eyes still full of tears...
