First Night In A New Home

Penny was reading a book when she got the feeling that she had stayed up way too late. She looks at her phone to check the time and it is currently 3:00AM.
"I should really get to bed." Suddenly Penny has the urge to use the bathroom so she quietly tip toes her way to the bathroom. After Penny finishes her business on the toilet she can hear the purring of her cat who just ran into the bathroom and was rubbing her body on Penny.
"Oh, who's a good girl? That's right, Willow, it's you!" Penny says as she pats the top of the cat's head and scratches it's chin. Willow left the bathroom after awhile. Penny stared in the mirror, deep in thought. Then suddenly, in the mirror, picking apart her looks, her brown hair, her two different colored eyes, her tan skin, her reddish brown freckles, how freakish she looked, she hated everything about her appearance. She noticed a tall, black figure behind her. She quietly screamed, not wanting to awaken her mother. Suddenly the figure disappeared. Penny made her way back to her bedroom and put herself to sleep.

The next day:

Penny found herself awake the next day. She definitely did not get a good rest. Penny began to get ready for school, wearing a tennis skirt and a crop top, she looks in the mirror.
"Ugh, this shirt makes me look so skinny." She mumbles to herself. Penny wears a baggy hoodie over her shirt to cover up her insecurity of being naturally skinny. Penny was now ready to leave and ride the bus to school. Penny exited the house and walked towards her bus stop. She waits at the stop for a few minutes before the bus finally arrives to pick her up and take her to school. Penny sits in the seat that is third from the back because no one ever sit there because of the wheel spot that makes you have no leg room. She puts her headphones that are connected to her phone in her ears and she presses shuffle on her playlist that consists of Vocaloid, Weirdcore, Nightcore, and Mitski(So real😋). Penny likes to write books and listening to music always gives her good ideas for the depressing backstories of her characters. After about a half hour of driving, the bus arrives at Penny's new school. She walks off of the bus and notices a boy with blonde hair, gray eyes, and pale skin, he was sitting with a girl who looked kinda similar to him but also so different, with orange hair, freckles, gray eyes, and pale skin. Penny decided to walk up to them, they also looked quite empty inside, somewhat reminding her of herself.
"Hey, uhm, I'm Penny and I'm new here. Nice to meet you!" Penny speaks to the pair of people sitting together, using her fake, happy, nice, and cheerful personality.
The boy could somewhat see through her act but said nothing of it, instead introducing himself, "Hello, I'm Milo and this is my twin sister Melody! Nice to meet you aswell, I hope we can be good friends." Milo responds in an equally fake persona.
"I can introduce myself, idiot! I'm Melody, the most beautiful, most popular girl at this school!" Of course, she was also fake, none of them say anything about each other's fake personas.
"Well, it's nice to meet you guys. Can we be friends?" Penny says.
"Of course! But I dunno about my sister she can be such a stuck up brat about making friends." Milo says.
"Shut up, stupid! I would love to be friends with such a pretty girl who is also new, we will gain loads more of popularity together!" Melody squeals.
"Alright then..." Penny's persona cracks for a second as she speaks, hardly noticable to anyone.

This is how their friendship began, the friendship of three people with completely fake personalities, three people who hide everything, three people who need help deep down. These friends will later find out each other for who they truly are and when they do....
