"I left her, " Sunghoon swirls the alcohol in the glass he's holding. "You probably know that. "

Heeseung didn't answer. Instead, he poured himself a glass of alcohol and chugged it down. Sunghoon was already drinking in the balcony of his unit when Heeseung arrived, so he joined him.

Besides, they are friends. They are still friends.

"You have reasons. " He didn't know if Sunghoon really had, but he assumed he has. Besides, he knows his friend.

Sunghoon let out a dry chuckle. He nodded, chugging the alcohol down. "Yeah, I have. "

"I want to tell her, Seung. I badly wanted to tell her before but I couldn't. " Tears are already threatening to fall from Sunghoon's eyes. He shakes his head, "I just couldn't. "

Heeseung silently listened.

"I'm so fucking coward. I was so afraid to hurt her, yet I did in the end. I left her hanging, Seung. I left her with nothing at all. I'm such a douchebag. "

"Why did you do it then? " Heeseung replied. "If you didn't want to hurt her, if you didn't want to leave her, why did you? "

That is something Heeseung doesn't understand. Why hurt someone you love when you don't want to? Why leave someone when you don't want to?

"Because I have to. " Sunghoon looked at him. "Leaving her is the only thing I can do to save her. "

Hearing this, Heeseung couldn't help but to raise a brow. He didn't understand what his friend meant. He leaned forward then asked, "Save her? "

Sunghoon nodded. "From shame. " He emptied the glass then poured himself an another one. "I was threatened. "

"I'll leave her or the scandal will leak. " A bitter laugh escaped from his lips. He shakes his head, stray tear rolling down his skin. "I don't want to ruin her, Hee "

His voice cracked as he looked at Heeseung,

"So I left her. "
