Nora's POV

The Gryffindors were all cheering and yelling in their table. The first task took place today, and all the people who were complaining about Potter's entry into the tournament were all now celebrating him.

Funny how fast people change.

"You're jealous." Ainsley emphasized.

"Am not." My blond boyfriend retorted.

"What are you guys talking about?" Carla asked. "Ainsley is saying that Draco is jealous of the attention Potter's getting and Draco is denying" Blaise explained, a bored expression painted across his face.

Carla shook her head and went back to her dinner. "I can literally feel the amount of jealousy you're emitting into the atmosphere" Ainsley commented and went back to her meal as well.

"Ow! Son of a bitch" Ainsley exclaimed. "Your foot was on the way" Draco voice was calm as he spoke. "On the way of what?" Ainsley gaped at him. "Such a bitch"

"You are-"

"Shut the fuck up. Both of you" I exclaimed. "I'm hungry and I'm trying to eat in peace here"

Draco fell silent with a final curse under his breath, but Ainsley was not planning to. "Well, your boyfriend is a bitch"

"Please. My whole body fucking hurts. Let me eat in peace"

"Why? What happened? You alright?" Draco bombard me with questions. "Yea, I'm fine"

"I would not continue talking if I were you" Theo muttered beside Draco when he was about to say something. "She looks like she would punch you in the face if you talked anymore"

The guy had been upset about his rejection, but he was really good at playing it cool. He wasn't really talking that much for a while, but he was back to his usual self the next day at dinner. But if you knew him enough, you'd know that he was just putting on a mask.

Theo and Ainsley are not really in speaking terms yet. I was a but mad at Ainsley for what she did, but too bad I can't stay mad at someone for a long time.

The only time I remembered staying mad at someone for months is an old friend from the neighborhood, who slammed her house door in my face. We made amends after a year, when she moved out.

"How do you turn this thing on?" I asked with frowned eyebrows.

We were hanging out in my room for God knows what reason. I was trying to turn the coffee machine on. I hadn't used it yet, since I had zero experience with coffee machine, I was a bit reluctant to use it.

"Didn't it have a manual or something in it?" Carla asked. I looked into the box to see a small piece of paper which had the machine blueprint and features.

I pulled at the handle which would hold the coffee pod. I placed the coffee pod in it and put it back in place.

"The milk goes in next" I mumbled as I took the container for milk from its place to fill it up. I filled three quatres of the container as said in the instructions.

The machine had different modes, the paper said.

"Why is it not working?" I asked. Kuro brushed past my leg and hopped onto Cyno's lap as he started to pet him while reading his book.

"Wdym? It was fine when I bought it" Ainsley got up from the armchair. "It was working fine until now. This thing even lit up" I pointed at the tiny screen.

Soon after everybody in the room surrounded the coffee machine, including the black cat in my best friend's bf's arms.

"Don't you think Kuro spends more time with Cyno than you" Iris wondered out loud while petting the cat behind his ears. "At this point I don't even know who his parent is" I said.

"He doesn't love me as much as he used to anymore" Ainsley shrugged while looking at the pamphlet. Cyno looked at her with a panicked expression.

"She's talking about the cat" Draco mumbled to the guy next to him. "This thing is broken! They sold me a broken product" Ainsley yelled out in frustration.

"Give it to me" Draco pulled the paper out of Ainsley's hands and read the instructions. "Seems like you did everything that's here"

"No shit sherlock" Ainsley rolled her eyes.

Everybody went through the instructions more than twice to see if we had missed any step.

"My legs hurt from standing for a long time" I muttered and walked to the armchair. I sat and looked at the group who were still trying to figure out what was up with the coffee machine. "Imma go to the shop and ask for a replacement" Ainsley sighed, sitting on the bed.

I looked to my right to see Kuro, who had by now got off of Cyno's arms, was playing with the wire of the machine. "Now, don't play with that buddy" I pulled him away from the wire.

I looked up at the plug. "Guys, a replacement won't be necessary" I called out. I pushed the key into the plug. "It was loosely connected"

"You've got to be kidding me" Carla exclaimed. "Oh god"

"It wasn't me! Kuro was playing with the wire" I defended myself. "Don't blame my child."

"All of you read the instructions but none checked the plug" I complained. "Now. Let's have some coffee." I smiled as I got to my feet and walked to the machine near my desk.

I turned it on, set the mode as instructed in the paper and placed the cup. "Yay" I exclaimed as the coffee and milk flowed out from the two openings.

"Nothing can beat the smell of coffee" I brought the hot beverage to my mouth after adding a sugar cube in it. "Wow. Imma get unlimited coffee from this day forth"

"Lemme taste it" I passed the cup to Serene. She was as much of a coffee lover as me. "Mmm... This stuff is great" she said after taking a sip.

"I know, right?"

"You guys want some?" I looked at the rest. Carla and Iris were not big fans of coffee. Ainsley drank coffee but with a bunch of sugar added, (ruining its actual flavor).

"No, thank you" Cyno politely rejected, while Draco shook his head. "I wanna taste" Ainsley stretched her hand to Serene.

"Imma come to you whenever I need coffee" Serene took another sip from the cup before passing it to Ainsley.

Her face scrunched up a little when she took a sip. "Too bitter to my liking"

"That's how you should drink it" I rolled my eyes at her. "You don't like nuts in chocolate. Are you even human?" she retorted. "How long are you gonna bully me with that?" I sighed.

"As long as I live, I guess" she shrugged.
