Chapter 43:April Fools?

Austin's P.O.V:

I woke up to my alarm going off. I quickly turned it off and turned to look at Zundra, she was still sleeping. "Yo, we getting Aaron?" I hear Loniel ask. Loniel Robinson is our drum tech, he's pretty cool. Just recently he moved into our bus, he couldn't before because Savannah and Alan put their stuff in the empty bunk we had. I was happy Loniel was on our bus now, he's one of my close friends.

"Yeah, we have to go now." I slide the curtain open and get out from the bunk. "Ight, I'm driving." Loniel calls out from the front. "Whatever." I shout. I quickly get changed into skinny jeans and a Slipknot shirt. I put on my vans and sunglasses. "Let's go." Loniel exits the bus first then I follow and close the door behind me.

~Two hours later~

We picked Aaron up and dropped him off at the venue. We insisted on him coming out with us but he said he was tired. "Want to just walk around downtown? Go shopping in the stores or something?" Loniel asks as he pulls into a parking lot and turns off the car. I nod my head and get out of the car.

We walked around downtown for a half hour and it was boring. "Worst idea." I mumble. Loniel laughs and pushes me playfully. I glare at him and he bursts out laughing. "I can never take you seriously man." He says as he nudges me. I laugh and nudge him back.

"Did you hear about that Katelyn Norman girl?"

"Yeah, that piece of shit right there won't stop tweeting about her. There's many other people dying with cancer just like her."

"Isn't that Austin Carlile?"

I stop and turn to look at these guys. They start laughing, my blood was literally boiling with anger. "What the fuck did you say!?" I shout. "Oh tough guy here." The guy says. I spit on him and he comes at me. He throws a punch, hitting me right in the eye. I just lose it. I go crazy, I lash out and I beat the guy. I hear Loniel shouting then I hear somebody being punched. I open my eyes slowly, the guy was on unconscious. Loniel was beating up the other guy. I got up and quickly pulled him off the guy.

There was a big crowd just watching. I didn't know what to do. I hear sirens in the distance and they soon get louder as police pull up. I look at Loniel and I start to panic. Shit. They immediately grab me and Loniel and arrest us. I watch through the window as they put the guy on a stretcher and into the ambulance. It was all in slow motion for me.

We pull up to a police station and they pull me out of the cruiser. They bring me into the building and into a room. "what's your name?" The officer asks me. "Austin Carlile." I whisper. The officer types it up on the computer then stops and looks at me. "Lead frontman from Of Mice & Men?" I nod my head slowly. "My son will be disappointed to hear." I look at him in disbelief. "With all do respect sir, I did it because he was disrespecting myself and Katelyn Norman, she means the world to me. Don't say anything until you know the other persons side of it. So if your son was a fan, he'd understand." I hiss.

Loniel and I were placed in a cell. We were told we had to be in there until we saw a judge. I thought this was stupid, why aren't the other assholes in here? Why is it just us? It was self defense! I was pissed. The cops kept asking questions about why I did it. I repeated myself so many times and they just keep saying it's no reason to almost kill somebody. Well excuse me, but if that was your kid or somebody close to you that they were disrespecting, you would of done the same. I'm letting so many fans down right now. Every things just so fucked up.

Zundra's P.O.V:

I was sitting in the front lounge with Alan and Aaron when I got a phone call. It was the police letting me know that Austin and Loniel were arrested for fighting. I broke down crying. Why is he behaving like this? I was told I was allowed to visit him before court tomorrow morning, I didn't want to go. I have to watch Robert. I have responsibilities.

"Zundra, are you going to go? I can take you." Aaron says to me. I shake my head. "No, I'm not going. He needs to learn." Alan looks at me in disbelief. "You don't even know what happened!" he shouts. "Oh and you do!?" I scoff. He rolls his eyes and gets up. "Whatever, you shouldn't be with him. You always put him down, I knew you never cared about him!" Alan shouts. I stand up and get in his face. "I don't care about him!? I was there for him every step of the way Alan! I was there and I still am, just not now, not when he's being stupid!" I shout.

Aaron steps in between us and pushes Alan back. "Stop fighting, for once can you guys shut the fuck up! We need to be here for Austin and Loniel no matter how stupid they were!" I sigh in defeat and sit down on the couch. "Alan?" Aaron says. "Whatever." he mumbles. "Zundra?" I sigh and nod my head. "Alright. We will wait for the court to contact us tomorrow." Aaron says as he sits beside me.

~Next Day~

I woke up early and just sat in the front lounge waiting for the court to call. "Zundra?" I look up to see Alan standing there. "What?" I ask. He sits beside me and looks at me. "Why were you up so early?" he asks. I shrug. "I'm sorry about yesterday." He says to me. I look up at him and fake a smile.

"Whats wrong?" he asks me. I look up from my phone and look at him. "What if he doesn't get out? What if he doesn't get to see his daughter when she's first born?" I ask him. I knew he wouldn't know the answers I was just hoping he could reassure me. "He'll get out, they won't keep him there." I start crying. I just hope he's okay. Alan hugs me and rubs my back.

I calmed down after awhile. Alan and I decided to play with Robert in the front lounge. "PHONE!" Aaron screams. I get up quickly and run to his bunk. I grab the phone out of his hand and put it to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Zundra Carlile?"

"Speaking." I love the sound of that.

"Austin Carlile has undergone arraignment on felonious assault."

"I'm sorry?" I'm not no damn lawyer I don't fucking understand there terms.

"He has been released on bond with the condition he have no contact, direct or indirect, with the victim until further order from the court. He is also not to cause, attempt, or threaten harm against any person or property."

"I understand." I mumble.

"He will be due back to court on April 15th. Well have a nice day Mrs. Carlile."

"Yea you too." I hangup and place the phone down. Felonious assault? What the fuck did he do?! "What did they say?" Aaron asks as he walks into the front lounge. I sit down and tell both Alan and Aaron. Tino and Phil come out shortly after and get me to explain to them what happened. "They should be home shortly then?" Phil says unsure. I nod my head and fake a smile. "Yep."

All of us were just sitting in the front lounge laughing at how cute Robert was. We were waiting for Austin and Loniel to come back. "They need to hurry up." Tino shouts. "Why?" I hear. We all turn and look towards the door to see Austin and Loniel walk in. "Austin!" I shout. I run to him and hug him. "What happened?" I ask him. He looks down at me and gives me a sad smile. "let's sit down." he says. I nod my head and follow him to the couch.

Austin and Loniel tell us what happened and I was in shock. "Austin you did a great thing, you stuck up for her. She's proud of you and so is your mom. Your moms taking care of her now." I say to him as I rub his back. He nods his head slowly and smiles. "Now we have to wait for the 15th to see what happens." He sighs loudly and runs his hand through his hair. "This wasn't suppose to happen." He mumbles. "It'll be alright." I whisper in his ear. He nods his head and kisses me. "I love you." he whispers. "I love you too." I whisper back.

"I'm sorry I disappointed you." Austin says to me. I look up at him and shake my head. "Baby, I'm proud of you. I'll always be here for you. Every step, even if you have to do jail time, I'll be here waiting for you." he smiles and kisses me. I just really hope he doesn't do jail time, I need him. They can't do that, they can't be such arrogant, heartless, assholes. They have to look past the charges, they have to look at the reasoning. I will always be here for him, no matter what!
