012. LIGHTS UP AND THEY KNOW WHO YOU ARE

Chapter twelve

"Lights up and they know who you are." 

That night, Diana was wearing her pink dress again, as Cam sat to her left, Taylor was on her right, as Belly sat next to her, their mom and Susannah were at the heads of the table, while across the table sat Steven, Jeremiah and Conrad, as they all were laughing and eating the lobster dinner, Diana and Cam looked at each other, although as they did, Taylor leaned closer taking a piece of lobster from her plate to gain her attention, as Diana laughed "Taylor!" she voiced "what?" Taylor asked as she ate the piece she stole, Jeremiah was staring at Cam "so, Cam." he said, as Cam looked at him.

"You mind if I call you Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah asked him "mm-hmm. Yeah, man. Feel free. That's funny." Cam shared "cool." Jeremiah told him, as Diana scoffed, shaking her head "I'm glad you're here, Cameron. I know your mom Denise, from the club. I've heard a lot about you." Susannah shared "thank you so much for having me, Susannah. My moms say hi." Cam told her "Cam, have you ever had miyeok guk before? It's a Korean birthday tradition." their mom shared, handing the bowl to Cam "no. Looks so good. Thank you." Cam shared "Diana told me you're vegetarian, so I didn't put any meat in it." their mom shared.

"Thank you, Laurel." Cam told her as he went to put some on his plate "oh, geez." he said "why don't you eat meat, Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah asked "the meat industry is the number one contributor to global warming." Cam shared "mm." Jeremiah said "and I just, I like animals." Cam shared "well, Diana and I always make fun of those conservationist vegan freaks knowing that not eating meat isn't gonna do shit to save the world. And we both love our purses which our leather along with our leather jackets we bought last fall." Taylor shared.

"I'm pretty sure you mean pleather." Steven shared "ooh." Jeremiah said, as Diana and Taylor held the middle finger up to Steven, Jeremiah laughed "yeah, Taylor's not wrong about Diana, I mean she eats meat I've seen her eat a twelve ounce steak all by herself. So, you let her kiss you with those lips?" he asked, as Diana took a deep breath, realizing her two best friends were making her look really bad in front of Cam "guys.." Belly told them, knowing it was enough, Steven and Jeremiah laughed "stop." Belly told them.

"No, I don't judge people for eating meat or believing that it's not gonna save the world. It's just, like, a person choice. I don't care." Cam shared "so you don't mind if, uh, like, her lips touch a dead animal, and then those dead animal lips touch your lips, right?" Jeremiah asked, as Diana chuckled "you make kissing me sound so awful." she shared, glaring at Jeremiah "I don't mind it all. Um, in fact.." Cam shared, as he leaned toward's Diana, kissing her, and as he did, everyone watched them, although Jeremiah and even Taylor were watching on with a bit of jealousy.

Susannah sighed "aw." she said, as Jeremiah and Steven began to pretend to throw up "all right. All right, all right. Diana's allowed to kiss." their mom told them, as she looked to Cam "but that's it." she told him, laughing "mom!" Diana voiced, laughing.

"I'm sorry, I just don't understand why anybody would want to kiss somebody who makes out with her teddy bear." Steven shared, and when he did, Diana pointed at him "what me and Harry bear Styles do is none of your business!" she voiced "you named him Harry bear Styles?" Jeremiah asked, laughing, Taylor leaned toward's Diana "well, how else we were gonna learn to kiss? Kiss each other?" she asked, and when she did, Cam, Steven, Jeremiah and Conrad all looked at them wondering if the two have, where that was all they could think about now, as Belly started laughing "guys they're obviously joking!" she voiced.

"About the kissing each other, not about our Harry bear Styles teddy bears." Taylor shared, as her and Tyler looked to each other "I remember when you girls made those! Your mom sent me pictures. That feels like a lifetime ago." Susannah shared "I remember when I visited last summer, and you." Taylor shared, pointing at Jeremiah "and you." she said, pointing at Conrad "dared him." she shared, pointing at Steven "to pee in the fireplace, and you stunk up the entire house for days. Do you remember that?" she asked, and as she did, Diana laughed "oh my gosh! I totally forgot about that!" she voiced, laughing, Taylor laughed with her, along with Belly, Cam, their mom.
