It was a cool March morning when you had found yourself in front of the renowned Stark Industries building with your resume in hand and phone to your ear, You had just graduated from Brown University that past year and had been taking part in small internships in your home state of North Carolina but, you wanted an escape from that small town that you called home. It had taken a lot of convincing not only to yourself but also your parents to come to terms with you applying for this opportunity, not only would this further your career it would open new doors for your life."Yes, Mama I made it. I'm standing in front of Stark Industries now. No, I didn't forget to update my resume. I adjusted it accordingly before I even submitted my application here. Yes, Ma'am. I know you're worried about me but everything is going to be okay. I'll call you when I'm done, Promise. Okay, I love you too. Bye." You tried to hurry up with her call before you were running late to your interview, though you had arrived half an hour early just to be safe since you were in a new location that you weren't familiar with just yet, that's the key word yet because you were going to ace the interview with Stark and become his personal assistant and make a name for yourself in this massive city.
You walked into the building with an air of confidence around you that drew the attention of onlookers that had been mingling in the lobby of the building. You felt comfortable as you walked closer to the front desk and saw the large clock on the back wall showing that the time was half past ten in the morning.
"Excuse me?" You asked politely as you approached the front desk.
"Hello! What can I help you with today." The woman asked in a chipper tone and a smile on her face. You could tell that it was put on but it had some sincerity behind it.
"I know I'm pretty early but I have an interview with Mr.Stark at eleven and was wondering where I needed to be for that." You smiled hoping she would point you in the right direction.
"Of course, Ms.?" She began to type before looking towards you for an answer to your last name, so she could see where exactly Mr. Stark wanted you to be for your interview since he liked to move around and have these types of interviews anywhere but the conference room.
"Oh, my apologies It's Y/N Coulson." You answered her slightly apologetic.
"Perfect, Ms. Coulson. Here's your visitor pass for today and I have notified Mr. Stark of your arrival, someone should be coming down soon to bring you up for your interview. Welcome to Stark industries and good luck with your interview." She said now with a genuine smile on her face.
"Thank you, and I hope your day goes well." You then turned to find some place to sit while you wait but just as you were about to sit down your name was called and you saw the one and only Pepper Potts.
"You must be Ms. Coulson." She smiled while standing in front of you to shake your hand in greeting.
"Please, call me Y/N Ms.Potts." You shook her hand being mindful of the amount of pressure you used.
"I'll be assisting Tony with your interview today. We'll be doing a basic run down to see if you're the right candidate for this position." She explained while walking towards the elevator once more. You followed just behind her and made sure to keep a slight distance to ensure that you won't step on her heel accidentally if she decided to suddenly stop.
"I appreciate your consideration, Ms.Potts." You remained professional throughout your interaction with her.
"Of course, it's not everyday that an opening here comes up, especially for a PA position under Mr. Stark." She remarked slightly annoyed for some odd reason but soon you understood why when you looked up and saw Mr. Stark sitting on the couch in sweats and nursing a steaming mug of what you assumed to be coffee.
