*Four years earlier*
It was a beautiful spring day and their coach had decided to let them play dodgeball. Everyone stood in line waiting to see who was chosen to be the captains. While normally it was boys vs. girls, today they changed it to co-ed teams. Everyone wanted Heeseung on their team. Literally everyone was arguing over who gets him. As he was the most popular guy in school.
Heeseung sighed impatiently as he watched the two team captains fight over him. The coach threw his arms up blowing his whistle which stopped the two from bickering. "Since you two obviously can't come to a decision on who gets Heeseung, why don't you let Heeseung choose himself. Heeseung go ahead and pick your team". The coach gestured toward the two captains. Heeseung looks to the captains instantly knowing who he picked.
"I choose Jungwon". Heeseung said as he walked towards his best friend. He high fives Jungwon a huge smile plastered on his face. "You always get Heeseung on your team". The other captain complained. Jungwon shrugged his shoulders picking out another player. With Heeseung on his team, he knew he stood a chance at winning.
It was down to the final four players. Heeseung, Jake, Sunghoon and Yumi. Jake threw the ball hurdling it towards Yumi. Yumi went and blocked Sunghoon from getting hit by the ball. Only she hadn't anticipated to get hit in the face. Instantly she lost her balance and collapsed towards the floor.
Her head made contact with the floor instantly making her ears ring. Her eyes welled with tears as it stung her eyes. Sunghoon quickly runs to her side a worried look on his face. He squats down onto the floor noticing that she was clutching her head. "Are you okay?" Sunghoon asked worriedly as she seemed to be in pain.
Yumi could see his lips moving but couldn't form any words. Her head was throbbing and she was woozy. Hesitantly she nods. Sunghoon lends a hand to help her up. She takes a hold of his hand feeling shaky, but otherwise okay. "If you feel too bad, don't play". Sunghoon replied whispering in her ear. "I can play. We have to win". She was determined to beat Heeseung. Especially since they are the top students in school as they are number one and two in school. Sure her head hurt but she could still play.
Heeseung threw the ball instantly hitting Sunghoon. Sunghoon sighed under his breath before getting up. He turns towards Yumi with a smirk. "It's your turn to win. You got this". Sunghoon said with a smile. She nods holding the ball in her hands.
"You can do this Yumi. It's just you and Heeseung now. I can do it". She encourages herself. She throws her arm back before releasing the ball out of her hand. Yumi watches as Heeseung ducks towards the floor to try and dodge the ball but gets hit in the arm. Yumi jumps up and down in excitement. Her team won! She just beat Heeseung.
Heeseung punches his fist into the floor. He couldn't believe his nemesis just beat him. Heeseung stands up dusting himself off. He walks over towards Yumi before congratulating her. It was the first time anyone had ever beat him at something.
"Congratulations Yumi. You played well. You okay though you took a bad hit?" Heeseung asked with concern. Sure he couldn't stand Yumi sometimes, but he didn't want to see her hurt. Yumi was surprised to hear Heeseung worried about her. She never would have thought that he had such an emotion in him. Yumi nods but instantly regrets it. She holds onto her head as the room began to spin. She feels herself teetering on her feet swaying ever so slightly. She looks up to Heeseung who's lips were moving. But no sound came to her ears.
"Yumi, you okay?" Heeseung asks repeating his question. As Yumi sways on her feet, Heeseung grabs a hold of her waist to steady her.
Yumi could feel a pair of strong arms grab a hold of her. She looks up at his blurry face looking at her worriedly. His eyes widen when he sees a trickle of blood run down her temple. "Yumi, you're bleeding". Heeseung stated.

FanfictionIt's all just a publicity stunt. Both Heeseung and Yumi know this. And they are both good actors. Perhaps a little too believable by the public. Or is it fake after all? And perhaps it's fates way of trying to bring them together.
