he gladly takes her in and asks her to clean herself and offers his clothes that are soo loose that the t-shirt works as her mid length night suit and he washes her clothes while she cleans herself
After much pondering asks him to protect her while she studies for the college entrance exam but she can't pay him for it without saying a word with big eyes staring at her he gets up, goes close to her and bents down in front of her and....
Says don't move while he applies healing lotion on her wounds.. and offers her his place to sleep while he himself sleeps on the couch after a long genuine pause they slowly start to open up with some spoken and some unspoken words...
He finally agrees to protect her on a condition that she owes him something (anything maybe money
maybe meal or maybe something
else...) and makes her write :
"CHEN NIAN OWES XIAO BEI ONE TIME" so that she won't forget and then feeling satisfied he sleeps peacefully watching her sleep.....
Later he is seen taking her to school and from school to home each day being there for her even if it is from a distance only to be unnoticed by the crowd and doing his thug things when she was in school or studying safely at his place...
And during this time he is seen threatening Wei lei with a knife and sparks of fire to not even touch Chen Nian otherwise it won't be good for either of them...
