in the honor of bullet train to murder making it to the 20k word count, longlist and the shortlist (quite surprising, i know), i am now introducing part two to the story, a Bullet Train to Murder SEQUEL!
Put your hands together for the reveal of-
*drumrolls*
MISSION
or Mission: Kink Possible if you want to be fancy and run with it. you'll see what i mean, just in a while. 😉
its been a few days since i started writing it and i have the first three chapters already drafted but i want to have at least ten chapters in draft before i start publishing them all in a regular schedule.

blurb:
Silence.
No response came from the other end of the line.
Molly Rayne was consumed by her past, and even after she had made the decision of stepping away, it continued to haunt her.
'I feel too corrupted to continue what my heart yearns.'
She knew she could always reach out to people who would be there for her in an instant, but she figured she'd have to deal with this alone.
But when she told her mother about her decision, the silence was unsettling. One moment she was there and the next, gone. Molly sensed something was terribly wrong.
※※※
'Maybe the case isn't entirely solved.'
Nick always had a suspicion about Miguel. Several cops, his father, who had been a lawyer for nearly his whole life, and a seasoned cook were all looking for Paige and only he found him.
But what Miguel revealed put Mr. Thompson in a different light.
Something far more sinister lurked under the surface and it was only a matter of time until it disrupted their lives once more.
Molly and her team are going to realize that sometimes the only way to find the truth is to venture into the darkness. And that's when the true danger starts.
Bags were packed and coats were worn, it was time for another Mission.

i know a lot of you wanted to see more of #BILLY moments (Mr. Bingo and Molly's ship name ;) but they're in denial, even after everything)
but, be prepared to see more than just mystery/thriller themes - there's drama, social commentary and lots of romance.. a shade darker.
i never thought that i, out of all people, would write dark romance themes but don't worry- most of it is still discrete and palatable. maybe as the chapters progress, a mature warning might be warranted but, for now its a little bit of simmering, a little bit of teasing and a whole lot of, "will they? won't they?" thrown for a good measure.
and its not just between the two, there's so much more that's waiting for you 👀

snippets:
1. "Hey Molly, I think you'd really like this bag." Mr. Bingo said as they were passing by a travel bag store.
"We aren't here for shop-" Molly started but was cut off when Miguel was already on his way to take the bag and make a purchase.
"Hey, wait!" She started but it was already too late, Miguel had already bought the bag.
2. "Glad you didn't say unknown," Miguel added, "I wonder if the author has planned the themes of cults this time as well."
"Stop exposing me, Miguel" I said and Molly seemed to be the only one to notice my struggle about hiding the plot without exposing too much too soon and quickly diverted the conversation.
3. The two of them huddled close to the table and observed their individual menu cards.
From the River to the Sea.
"That's.." Molly began, "Very thoughtful way to incorporate awareness and stride against the current happenings of the world."
"Its tragic, really," Mr. Bingo said as he took another bite out of his falafel, "I can only imagine how terrible it must be to be living under those circumstances."
4. "Shut up!" Miguel said as he stifled a laugh.
"Really? I could do tha-" Mr. Bingo stated as he held the hem of his shirt.
"Not that, you idiot!" he said as he looked away and a blush formed on his cheeks.
5. Something about his voice consoled her yet the under tone of command only made her feel more attracted towards him like a moth to light.
When she didn't meet his stare, he softly placed his index finger under her chin, prompting her to eventually look into his eyes.
Mr. Bingo read her eyes and immediately regretted forcing her to look at him.
He closed his eyes and turned his head to face the window.
🤭💘 okay, okay i will stop giving more spoilers but this is just the glimpse of what's coming ahead xD
one of the commentaries from a off page beta reader "It's like the world in this story is a bit of a powder keg, just waiting for something to set it off."
the timeline is a bit of 2023-24, unlike the first one that was more of 2021-22 but even then, the element of AI remains uncertain.
EOS is delved into head first into the story, revealing how it began and its implications even as the main convicts are behind the bars. There's Lena, Jasper, Paige and of course, there's Mr. Thompson, becoming one of the central elements to this tale even when the world around them revolves around some much darker issues.
There's also new characters and this time its going to be a lot more fun, trust me ;) and that's the very reason i want to take time as well, i want to have enough of the plot and story before mission is finally open for readers, hope you enjoy it!
also- unlike the first book that doesn't require a minimum age limit, for the second, i would have to set it to 15+ minimum and that's because it can leave you feeling funny and weird with all the tension going around.
again, care has been taken to make descriptions are blurred as possible, but.. you know, those double entendres are still going to have a VIP seating in this hall of fame xD
cheers,
Sara <3
