--Jungkook--

I parked my car at the foot of a barren mountain.

I followed the flock of birds all the way, and they flew into the darkness right here. This place is convenient for transportation and not far from the city, but there are no lights on the mountain and no one lives there. It is a suitable place to hide a criminal.

I quickly climbed up the mountain along the wild path made by the mountain people. On the way, I thought, fortunately Jungkook didn't come. How could she bear such a thorny road with poisonous insects, snakes and ants?

I can't bear to do that either.

After climbing for about half an hour, I reached the middle of the mountain and saw a faint light in the forest ahead. I abandoned the path and climbed up the steep slope on one side, stuck behind a huge rock, and looked out.

There was an old wooden house. A kerosene lamp hung on the porch. Several children huddled in a corner, shivering. The man was there, too, sitting in a broken wicker chair, his chin resting on his hand, looking at the children, as if in a trance.

Even from a distance of several dozen meters, I could recognize that they were the four missing children. But a closer look revealed something strange. Three of the children were ragged and skinny from hunger. Only a 6-year-old boy named Zhu Zihan had clean clothes and a stool to sit on. He was holding a piece of bread and a box of milk, eating heartily. The other children looked at him with envy. And the man was looking at Zhu Zihan.

With the hut as the center, there were at least hundreds of birds perched in a dark mass around it. They were docile and quiet.

Zhu Zihan was a chubby boy. After he finished eating, he looked at the man timidly and said, "Uncle, I want to eat another piece of bread." The other children also began to beg, "Uncle, we want to eat too!" "Uncle, give me one!" "Uncle, why does he have one and I don't!"

The man smiled, took out another piece of bread from his pocket, and stammered, "Shut up! How can you...you...compete with him?" He gave the bread to Zhu Zihan, who looked at the other children and ate it quickly. The other children only dared to cry quietly and dared not make any more sounds.

I slowly lowered my head, just about to turn back silently, but at this moment, a bird flew over my head from nowhere. I thought it was bad, and sure enough, the bird let out a sharp cry and flew towards the cabin. The man turned his head suddenly and looked in my direction. The flock of birds was also startled, and hundreds of birds flapped their wings at the same time, like a gust of wind blowing through the woods. Then the man laughed, and it was that kind of abnormal laugh that made people very uncomfortable, like joy and sadness. He blew a long whistle, and the flock of birds instantly turned into a black whirlwind and attacked me!

I stood on a steep slope, with nowhere to hide and no time to jump down, so I tore off a thick branch nearby and used it as a weapon, shooting down many birds. But there were too many of them, and they flew right at me. I looked at their sharp beaks and ferocious brown eyes, and suddenly realized that they were going to peck my eyes out.

I raised one arm to protect my eyes. Their beaks landed on my neck and arms at the same time, and they were instantly bloody.

at this time.

A strong gust of wind hit the back of my head.

It was that man, he was on that boulder, taking the opportunity to sneak attack me.

I was at the bottom, at a disadvantage, and in a dilemma. If I moved forward, the birds would peck my eyes out. If I moved backward, he would hit me on the head.

This moment will determine victory or defeat, life or death.

I suddenly let go of my arms, turned around quickly, grabbed his legs and knocked him down. He was unsteady on his feet, and the stick in his hand fell to the ground. I saw his panicked face. The flock of birds swooped down on us from all directions.

We fell down a steep slope together. I felt the back of my head hit something with a thud, and then my vision went dark and I lost consciousness.
