Never Enough

glanced low, aced everything,
neck, chained with golden pride.
on the summit, stood, unending,
applause and cheers, at wide.

less than five, less than worthy,
how could you afford to fail?
if gold the top, push bronze aside,
ahead a victor's trail.

crushed the hopeful, can't help it,
am i unworthy of forgiveness?
lose more than what's earned,
wrongful should they witness.

always the first, eternal glory,
how could you afford to fall?
oh, i bet it was your greed,
you earned it, after all.
