"Aspen? Dinner's downstairs, mom said you have to come down. You've been up here for two days. Please?" Griffyn pleaded her older sister.

"She is gone Griffyn. What's the point?" Aspen sighed.

Griffyn leaned against the door. "I'm sorry Aspen. But would Evie want you to be sulking in your room? If she were here, she would tell you to go live life for her. Have enough fun for the both of you."

"If Evie were here I wouldn't be in here."

"Aspen, you need to come out. You think this is hard for you? what about Katherine? We need to be strong for her. " Griffyn said, trying to un-lock Aspen's door.

Griffyn heard the lock click. Aspen opened the door and Griffyn tumbled forward and landed at Aspen's feet. "For Evie and Katherine." Aspen said, letting go of the door knob.

Griffyn woke up to the sound of a teenage boy ranting. She looked over to window and sure enough Teo was sitting there going on and on about work. Griffyn groaned. Teo had been there since seven that morning, and Griffyn had been pretending to sleep. She sat up like a bolt, which scared Teo and almost made him fall out the window.

"We've established and understood that I don't listen to a word you say before ten a.m.?"

Teo looked a little surprised she spoke. "Yes. That's why I rant until ten."

Griffyn grinned. "What ever you say, fall out boy."

Teo rolled his eyes. "Yeah, you're hilarious. You wouldn't be laughing if I actually fell out of the window."

"Eh." Griffyn shrugged. "I'm going back to sleep."

"I only have five more minutes."

"That's five minutes more of sleep and less of Teo." She threw a pillow at him and tugged the sheets over her face.

"Fine fine." Teo grabbed up the pillow and set it next to him. "Let's see, what can I go on about for five-"

"Three." Griffyn corrected him.

"For three minutes? Lemme think. Oh. Okay, so EJ, she's great and all but she's being weird. Like clingy girlfriend weird. Except she's not my girlfriend so it's really weird. I think she's jealous I have a girlfriend or something. I don't know. She keep like putting stuff in my locker and stuff. You know what's worse? She's gonna be in my class this year at school!" Teo groaned.

"I didn't know EJ went to school with us. How come I've never met her?" Griffyn asked. She had been half listening since he mention the word girlfriend.

"Hey, my rant time. Save your talk for later. I only have like two minutes, and it's because she's transferring schools this year."

"Why?" She asked curiously.

"I don't know. I didn't ask. Mostly because I didn't care. I really hope she isn't this weird at school. This is my junior year. I don't want her screwing up the rest of highschool for me."

"You're a junior? Oh. I'm going into my senior year."

"What?! You're graduating this year?! You're sixteen! How?!" Teo asked shocked.

"I dunno. How are you only a junior?" Griffyn asked.

"I'm a normal kid! Didn't Aspen graduate last year?"

"Yeah." Griffyn responded dully.

"How? She's like three years older then you. How are you only a grade apart?" Teo asked confused.

"Two years. And cut off dates. Her birthday is in November. Mine was in June." She shrugged. "It actually kinda makes sense. I think technically I'm supposed to be in you're grade."
