Imagine-Stefan

Imagine your boyfriend cheats on you so you go to Stefan and he comforts you and he admits that he's been in love with you the whole time but he didn't want to ruin your relationship.

"Tyler just leave me alone! It's over! You cheated on me and I can never forgive you for that." You yelled as you were walking out of his house.

"But Y/N-"

"Stop!" you interrupted him. "I don't want to hear your stupid excuses! I don't care! We're over Tyler." You said getting in your car and driving away. You were hurt. You trusted him more then anyone, well except for your best friend Stefan.

You found yourself not even driving home but out of habit driving to the Salvatore house. The tears were starting and you knew Stefan would be the only one who could help you. You walked in the front door of the house not even knocking. "Stefan?"

"Y/N? Is that you?"

"Yeah." You said walking into the living room where you heard his voice coming from. You tried to wipe away some of the tears but the more you did the more you would cry.

"Y/N what's wrong?" Stefan said to you with concern in his voice as he walked up to you.

"Tyler cheated on me." You managed to get the words out before you started crying uncontrollably. He grabbed your shoulders and pulled you into a hug as he walked with you over to the couch. He sat down and you laid you head on his chest and he was running his hand over your hair trying to comfort you.

"Do you want me to kill him for you?" He said in a quiet voice looking down at you. You chuckled a little bit even though you were still crying.

You lifted your head up and rubbed the tears away. "This is just stupid. Why am I even crying he's just a stupid boy."

"He is a stupid boy. How did you find out?"

"I walked in on them, can you believe that?"

"I'm so sorry Y/N."

"Why are you sorry, your not the one who cheated on me." You said trying to smile a little.

"It's just, you deserve better."

You smiled at him as your eyes moved their way up from the ground to his. The look on his face looked like he was almost as heart broken as you and you were a little shocked to see that.

"He didn't deserve you Y/N, you were too good for him."

"I know." You said looking at Stefan and laughing. He started looking at you with a more serious look, his smile dropped and he was staring deep into you eyes. It was like he wanted to tell you something but he couldn't. "Stefan? Are you okay?"

"Yeah yeah I'm fine I was just, thinking."

"About what."

"It's not important."

"Well now you have me interested." You said looking at him and smiling again. "What is it?"

"I don't think I can tell you."

"Stefan! We tell each other everything."

"What if it could ruin our friendship?"

"Stefan, nothing and I really mean nothing you ever tell me can ruin our friendship."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. Now what is it?"

"I think I'm falling in love. With you. Well I don't think, I know, I'm already in love with you. I have been the whole time." He looked at the ground avoiding eye contact with you but you couldn't stop looking at him. How could Stefan of all people be in love with me? You thought silently.

You lifted his chin up so that he was forced to look at you. "Stefan..." you trailed off as you hugged him.

"I know you can't possibly feel the same way Y/N but I just needed you to know." He said pulling away from the hug.

"I think I could feel the same way soon but I just need a little bit of time, you know to sort everything out. But you know I care about you more than anything right?"

"I know."

"I just need a little bit of time."

"You can have all the time you need Y/N. I would wait for you for the rest of my eternal life." With that you hugged him again but this time neither of you wanted to let go and that's when you knew, you were falling for him too.
