Hi my name is Kadra.
From as far as I can remember,I have been bullied. From students to my own neighbors. I was born in Kenya which is in east Africa but then moved to Ohio when I was 14. I started a new school nd I knew from the moment I went there that I was gonna hate it.
People were afraid of me. Why were they afraid of me, u might ask? I replied with a smile on my face that it puzzled me at first too but now I know. People think worse of me cuz of my hijab. otherwise known as a headscarf. I was two years old in 2001 but still felt the discrimination. And there really wasn't any reason for it. Some of the stereotypes include that I don't speak English, am a terrorist, and eat smelly food. I pray five times a day, stick to the rules, nd wear my hijab. This is how my life is led.
That brings me back to that question. Why are u guys scared of me? Am as harmless as a fly.
Muslims are all different races but they all share the same book nd abide by it's rules.
My religion and my hijab are all my choice. The choices that I made because i had the freedom.
Please stop bullying and harassing people cuz of the differences. Before bullying someone, put yourself in there shoes, nd think about how u would feel.
I decided to share my pain with u guys so please don't judge me.
