First Day of Senior Year

Vanessa's POV

I woke up pretty early today, feeling so excited I could burst into flames, hahaha just kidding. One of the reasons why I was so extremely excited is because of yesterday. I finally told the guy I had builted feelings for the last few years that I had a crush on him.

It was really awkward especially because he was a nerd. All my life I always looked down on nerds because they always do their home works and always sucked up to teachers and all those stuff. It just made me sick ! Being the most popular girl at school I always liked the cliché jocks, and tough guys but I got to realize that I had feelings for Jeremy.

When I told him he was a bit set back for about a minute and didn't even make a word escapse his pink lips. He was madly handsome, he bearly wears his glasses and he had blond hair and he had a closely deep voice. He came back to his senses and said,"Wow ! I really like you too Vanessa." When he said that my heart of was filled. We then strolled down to the community park, and surprisely it was empty.We then talked and laughed and had alot of fun playing in the playground. I felt as in I was a little girl again! It was getting late and I told Jeremy bye and gave him a gentle kiss on his checks.

Yesterday was such a wonderful day! I picked out my outfit from a week before the new school year so I could just pick it out without wondering if it's right for the first day. I flat ironed my hair and cruled the front of it, and I was ready to go. I went downstairs and saw my dad and heard him say to me,"Morning Monkey" and i replied,"Morning Dad." My dad then asked me,"So Monkey, are you excited?" "Of course I am, how am I not supposed to be ?! I mean its the first day of Senior year, Senior year!" I replied with enthusiasm. My dad started to laughed. I made myself a turkey sandwich and ate it and said goodbye to my dad and left. While driving to school I remembered what happened yesterday. I truly enjoyed myself. While entering the Dowley School's gates I saw my best friend Ashley. We have been best friends since as long as I could remember. She always had my back especially when my mom and dad got divorced.

"Hey Vanessea!" I heard Ashley say. "Hey ! I missed you so much even though we saw each other on Sunday." We both then laughed. I parked my car and gave my ever lasting best friend a hug.

We then walked and went directly to the clubs notice board and we both signed up for dancing, and theatre arts. When walking to my new locker I saw Jeremy walking with his best friend; Olivia. He then waved and and smiled and I smiled back at him.

I feel guilty but I don't want anyone, not even Ashley to know that I like Jeremy. It's just he is a nerd and I'm not ready for all of that humiliation.

"What was that all about?" My best friend Ashley asked me."Ummm Nothing. " I replied recovering form my smile. Ashley then gave me a weird look and just said anyways. When the Bell rang we made ourselves to the Announcement stage in the Cafeteria. The Principal then came and gave us the announcements. Devotion was given by the choir and Jeremy was singing lead. Well with Olivia, of course. Jeremy was doing really well but then screwed up some words when he saw me in the crowd. Olivia then realized what had happened but had continued as if nothing had happened. After devotion we we're assigned to our class and I saw Mrs.Ryan came in my class and went straight into business.

At lunch time everything was normal. I was surrounded by my friends, eating and laughing. When suddenly my ex boyfriend;Cameron came and was saying how he is sorry for me breaking up with him. It was so funny what Cameron was saying, and I replied and said,"I'm sorry Camcam, but I don't think we're meant for each other." He then stood back and acted cool and walked away. Just when he exited the cafeteria, the whole Cafeteria started to laugh. Well except for Jeremy. I feel really bad for Cameron, because I really enjoyed my time with him.

After school everything was OK. I said goodbye to my friends and just when I was approaching my vehicle I saw Jeremy. I went towards him and said,"hey, you rocked this morning. " he replied,"Oh, thanks." And walked away. I suddenely felt guilty. I went in my car and drive off. When I approached my house I saw my dad and he asked, "How was the first day ?" I then passed him and went upstairs to my room and some watched television.
