An icy breeze whipped by you, causing a shiver to run down your spine. Despite the cold wind, you had another reason to shiver. You had a strong feeling that you were being watched for quite a while now. It was a familiar and accurate feeling in your line of work.

There was barely any moonlight tonight, which made you feel even more vulnerable to whatever was hiding in the shadows. This was the last time you would stay at a friend's house so late. You felt a reassuring squeeze on your hand from your twin as he smiled gently at you. You tightened your grip on your brother's hand as you hurried home. He suddenly froze, causing you to walk straight into his broad back.

"What's wrong?" You asked, watching your brother's eyes narrow.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all," he assured you, running his other hand through his long hair. You frowned at him. He was usually never wrong when it came to anything. He had a sixth sense when it came to danger, and keeping it from you now was horrible. He did have sharper instincts after all.

"Are we in trouble?" You quizzed, pressing him for information.

"Very much so, you rebellious little minx," a voice called from the darkness, causing you both to snap your heads in that direction.

You felt goosebumps on your skin as the street got even darker as the streetlights dimmed. You felt your brother tense up as a man emerged from the shadows. He was tall with extremely long red hair held back in a golden clip. His hair was even longer than your brother's and his was waist long. For some reason, he was shirtless at this late hour. You tugged on your brother's hand causing him to snap out of his trance as your same coloured eyes locked with each other's. He nodded at you and you both stepped away from the man who was advancing towards you. Your other hand slipped into your pocket to get your switchblade.

The man's entire countenance reeked of danger. Escape was a better option. The minute you turned to run, you felt something coil around your waist and yank you backwards.

"Y/N!" Your brother yelled.

You lost your grip on your brother's hand as it dragged you back. You started struggling and looked down, only to see a smooth, black, scaly appendage wrapped around your waist. The appendage stopped and yanked you to your feet. You looked up into a pair of emerald eyes framed by long, luscious lashes. The pupils were slit, looking much like cat eyes. His lashes were full, and he had high cheekbones. Dark, shiny hair framed his rather handsome face. You looked back down at the appendage around your waist and followed it to the man's backside. This man had..... a tail. A tail that was wrapped around you and would not budge. You let that sink in slowly. What the fuck?! So he wasn't human. Time to fucking get out of dodge. You resumed struggling, trying to pry the appendage off yourself. You desperately stabbed at it with your knife, only for it to shatter in your hands. The blade clattered against the floor.

Hearing a chuckle you looked up. The man smiled at you, exposing a fang at the corner of his mouth. Holy fucking shit! He was a vampire, and he was going to suck your blood!

" HELP!! BROTHER!!" You screamed.

The man chuckled again. "He won't be able to help you,"

Your eyes locked on your twin with both his arms pinned against his sides as he struggled against Redhead who was holding him with ease against his side with one arm restraining him. Your brother had brute strength. Was this one another monster too?

Redhead sighed. " You are troublesome, aren't you?"

"Let go of me you perverted son of a bitch!" your brother growled.

Redhead covered his heart with his free hand in mock hurt. "Such harsh cold words from my mate. You're breaking my heart,"

Mate? What was he talking about?
