025. I FOUND SALVATION IN YOUR ARMS

Chapter twenty five

"I found salvation in your arms." 

Making it to the country club, Diana and Belly carried their stuff through the halls and soon made it to the green room they were all changing in, where all of them were already in there getting ready "Diana, Belly, you guys are here." Shayla shared, walking up to them with curlers in her hair, Diana and Belly turned hanging their dresses up "come I saved you spots." Shayla shared, turning and walking off, Diana and Belly followed her, although seeing who they were seated next to made Diana stop in her tracks, as she looked to Shayla with raised brows.

"Put the claws away. You guys should talk." Shayla shared "she left us naked and stranded over a guy." Diana shared "and you poured slushees on people's heads." Nicole fired back, as Diana snapped her head toward's her "they along with you have been making fun of me since you met me." she shared, as Belly cleared her throat "how about you start helping me get ready?" she asked her, trying to change her sister's brain trajectory, Diana sighed, putting her bag down on the counter, she started pulling her stuff out.

Where soon, Diana had done Belly's makeup and put her hair up in a bun, making sure it stayed and put the headband on, where she then had done her own makeup, and began finishing curling her hair, and as she put the curling iron down, she grabbed the tiara that Jeremiah had gotten for her birthday and put it on her head.

Where the two then had gotten changed into their dresses, where Diana put Belly's pearl necklace on her that she gotten from Susannah while Shayla stood behind her tying the bow in the back of her dress, the three then all put their gloves on.

Where in this moment, as Diana looked at herself in the mirror, in her sparkly dress and crown with her hair and makeup done, she felt like a true princess, as she smiled, Belly linked her arm with her's, as the two turned walking to the back and grabbing the last two bouquets of roses, as they turned, walking out of the green room.

Waiting in line, Belly stood in front of Diana as the two were walking behind the rest of the debutants as they walked up the stairs, Belly turned looking at Diana "can you believe at the start of this we had no dates and neither of the boys wanted to go? And now I'm here with Conrad, you're here with Jeremiah and Steven is here with Shayla?"  she she asked, as Diana chuckled "that is interesting." she told her "Gigi Bouscheron." Paige said, as Gigi stepped out, Belly turned around and stepped forward, as Diana then stepped and stood where she just did.

And soon, Belly's name was called "Isabella Conklin, daughter of John Conklin and Laurel Park." Paige shared, as Belly began walking over to Conrad, Diana stepped forward, knowing she was next and as she did, everything Steven told her before she left began playing over in her head about he didn't want her to be just another hook up to him and through all the time they spent together she hadn't though about that till now "a student at Chesterbrook high school where she is captain of the varsity volleyball team." Paige shared.

As Belly and Conrad linked arms, the two soon stepped out, and as they did, Diana and Jeremiah finally could see each other, where the two found themselves staring at each other just like they did the day they saw each other way back at the start of the summer "Diana Conklin," Paige said, as Diana began walking toward's Jeremiah, Jeremiah walked toward's her "daughter of John Conklin and Laurel Park. A student at Chesterbrook high school where she is co captain of the varsity volleyball team." Paige shared.
