As I sat in the back seat of my car, moving through the bustling city streets towards my office, an overwhelming sense of exhaustion washed over me. The relentless search for Sanjh had drained me, both physically and mentally. It was as if she had erased her existence from the face of the earth, leaving no trace behind. But no matter how elusive she was, I wouldn't stop until I found her. My obsession with her was a consuming fire, burning hotter with each passing day.

I glanced outside the window, watching the towering skyscrapers and glittering city lights blur past. The city seemed indifferent to my turmoil, its pulse steady and unyielding. Amidst my thoughts, I heard Shivaay, my best friend and assistant, speak up from the front seat.

"Ranveer, listen, our company got an invitation for a charity ball party from Mr. Rajkumar Sehgal this evening. Did you hear me?"

I shifted my attention from my phone to Shivaay, who was looking at me, waiting for a response. "I'm not interested in such parties," I replied flatly, not wanting to be bothered with social niceties when my mind was so preoccupied.

Shivaay let out an exasperated sigh and facepalmed. "Ranveer, all the elite diamond merchants will be attending. I also have information that many mafia groups will be there. This could help us make strong connections in both worlds."

I considered his words, understanding the depth of the situation. Connections in both the legal and underground worlds were crucial for my business. Reluctantly, I gave a curt nod.

"Fine," I said, though my mind was still on Sanjh. "We'll go."

As the car continued to navigate through the city, my thoughts drifted back to her. Sanjh had always been an enigma, a mystery that I couldn't solve. My feelings for her were a potent mix of possessiveness and obsession. The mere thought of her being out there, somewhere, without me knowing where she was, drove me to the brink of madness.

"Shivaay," I said, my voice a low growl, "we need to find her. I can't rest until she's back. It's like a part of me is missing."

Shivaay glanced at me through the rearview mirror, his eyes filled with concern. "I know, Ranveer. We're doing everything we can. But you have to take care of yourself too. This obsession... it isn't healthy."

I clenched my fists, frustration boiling within me. "You don't understand, Shivaay. She's mine. Every single breath she takes, every step she makes, it should all be within my sight. I can't let her slip away. Not now, not ever."

"Ranveer," Shivaay said softly, "we'll find her. But you need to keep your head clear. This party tonight, it could give us the leads we need."

I nodded, though my heart was still heavy with the weight of her absence. "Alright. Let's get this over with. But remember, finding Sanjh is our top priority."

Shivaay hesitated before speaking again. "Ranveer, you need to understand that this level of possessiveness isn't love. It's... it's something else. And it's consuming you."
