The next morning, I woke up and thought about my night with Damian. A smile is instantly plastered across my lips, day-dreaming about him and how handsome he looked.

I sit up in my bed and reach for my phone on my next nightstand next to me. I glance down at the screen and see two new messages from Damian.

My eyes light up and my heart skips a beat.

Maybe things are getting serious

"I told my parents everything last night. They're so happy with how things are going for us, Sarah."

My chest filled with warmth at his words. I felt so happy that I finally met a guy who was caring and not boring or rude towards me at all.

"They would like to have you over for dinner tonight and get to know a little bit about you personally." The second message read.

My heart skipped a beat once more. I swallowed nervously before jumping out of bed.

I ran down the steps looking like a total mess, but I had to show my parents the message that Damian had sent me.

"Mom! Dad! Come over here quick." I call out to them.

The two of them turn their heads in my direction, frazzled about seeing how I was reacting.

"What's wrong? Is everything okay?" My mother asked, almost jumping off the couch to rush over to me.

"Damian just texted me. His parents want to have me over for dinner tonight!" I show them my phone.

My parents exchange glances, realizing what I had been reacting about was in a dramatic way.

"That's amazing honey. Why do you seem nervous about that?" My dad asked me, confused.

I lower my phone to my side and release a sigh.

"Because a wealthy couple wants to have me over for dinner. Do you know how huge that is?"

"Well, of course it's a big deal but you have your mother to help you out with that kind of stuff."

"Your father's right, dear. There's no need to panic." My mom sounded sincere.

"You're right." I rub my face with my hands, not realizing how tired I still am. "I'll ask what time they want me over and I'll get my outfit ready."

My mom gives me a thumbs up before I turn around and run back up the stairs.

"That sounds lovely. What time would they like for me to come over?" I set my phone down and sit on my chair that faced my vanity.

Since I had just woken up moments earlier, I took in how disheveled my hair was and how tired my eyes looked. I groan and waited around for Damian to text me back.

I pick up my brush and begin going through each section of my hair to make it look nicer than before.

My phone dinged just as I was done. I set down my brush and pick up my phone, glancing at the screen.

"How does 8pm sound? I told them how much you liked the filet mignon at the restaurant, so they're making that just for you."

I found myself smiling at his text. No parent had ever gone to such lengths to make sure I was satisfied and good a meal I enjoyed.

"That's so sweet of them. I'll be there."

"Why don't we see each other in the meantime? I know this amazing pizza place just down the street from my house."

"Pizza sounds so good right now! I'll be ready shortly."

I've never had pizza at 10 in the morning, and frankly I was surprised a food place like that was selling pizza at this time.
