“SHOTGUN!” Layla screamed as she ran through our new house, up the stairs, and into the biggest bedroom she could find.

I turned to look at my Dad, asking if this was ok. He just nodded and gave me a small smile.

“Thanks Dad!” I exclaim with a huge grin on my face. My Dad really is amazing.

I raced up the stairs to find Layla, and when I did, my mouth just hung open.

This bedroom was HUGE. Like absolutely ginormous!

“Holy…WOW! This is massive! At least now I know there’s definitely going to be room for the both of us” I shook my head, still not believing then sight before me. It’s hard to explain what it looks like, but the walls are a nice cream colour, the carpet is a chocolatey brown colour and there is an absolutely MASSIVE window that gives us an amazing view of the London city.

“Where are we going to put all of our stuff? We don’t have any furniture yet” Layla stated, sounding slightly disappointed.

“Yea, I’ll go ask my dad, back in a sec” I jog out of my room and start making my way down to where my dad is when I bump into someone.

“Oh! Sorry! I didn’t see your there” The person apologised, and helped me up off the ground.

“Uh, it’s ok…” I asked, feeling slightly puzzled as to who this person was. “Sorry, but who are you?”

The man laughed and pointed down to a set of draws beside him that I hadn’t noticed until now “I’m the furniture mover”

“Oh! Is it just you? Or do you have help?” Surely he can’t fill a house with furniture on his own!

“Geez, I’d be crazy to take on a job like this on my own! No, I have a team with me, they’re just down stairs”

“Ok” I laughed “well I better get going, I have to ask my dad something…” Even though that something had pretty much already been answered.

“sure thing, nice meeting you! And sorry again for knocking you over”

“It’s fine! I wasn’t looking where I was going, and nice meeting you too! Have a nice day” I yelled over my shoulder as I continued searching for my dad. Eventually I found him sitting on a stool in what appears to be the kitchen…I think.

“Hey dad!”

“Raine! Do you like the new house then?”

“Hell yes! It’s massive! Oh, but I have one question”

“Yes?”

“How long will it take for all the furniture to be moved in…oh and also, why have we got new furniture? Why didn’t we just bring over our old stuff?”

“Well” my Father began “We decided to rent out our old house to a family, so we left all our old furniture in the house…and so I ordered all of this new furniture over the internet, and had it to be delivered and placed today. Oh, and it will take about another 2 hours for all of the furniture to be ready, because although the house is big, we have a big team of movers to get the job done quicker”

“Oh! Ok Dad, thanks!” I smiled at him and took off to mine and Layla’s bedroom again

“Layla! How did all of this furniture get here?! I was only gone for a few minutes!” I gaped, as I looked around. There were now two king size beds, bed side cabinets, wardrobes, and much more.

“The mover people, duh!”

“Wow, they work quickly…oh hey, we should do see if anyone need help”

“But Raaaaine I can’t be bothered”

“Come on, stop whining! We can’t just sit back, my Mum or Dad might need help moving something, or un-packing”

“Fine” Layla huffed, and dragged us both down to the kitchen.

“Hey again Dad” I grinned “Need any help with anything?”

He was quiet for a few seconds while he thought “Well…no, but could you go round our neighbours houses and let them know we’re sorry for all the noise of the trucks? They’re extremely noisy, and we must be disrupting them.”

“Sure! Come on Layla”

---------------------------------------------

Raine, are you sure? You can’t really count these people as our neighbours, whoever they are, I mean, they live across the street…who cares if we’re disrupting them! Have you even looked at their house? It’s like a mansion! The people living here are probably rich snobs, and I bet they deserve to be disturbed” Layla argued

“It doesn’t matter if they’re ‘rich snobs’ or not, my Dad told us to go around the neighbours, and technically these people are our neighbours. Even if they don’t live next to us, they still live across from us”

“Whatever, but I’m not knocking”

She could be so immature sometime. I rolled my eyes and knocked on their door several times. Layla and I stepped back, waiting for someone to open the door.

After a few moments, there was some scuffling behind the door, and we could hear some people arguing.

They soon go silent, and open a peephole in the door “Who is it?” a sort of deep british accent asked us

“Um, hi! It’s your new neighbours…”

The peephole closed, and for a second, I thought they had just walked away and left us at their door, but then they opened the door to greet us.

As the person stepped out, my mouth formed an ‘O’ shape. I couldn’t believe it.

“P-p-PAUL?!” Layla squealed “OH MY GOD OH MY GOD HI!”
