in the orginal epic seven lore here: how it all begun:

    During the events of a celestial war, the Goddess Diche breaks away from the war after her brother Orbis dies. She builds a world on the body of Orbis, creating the world that Epic Seven takes place in. However, her other brother IIyros is made to believe that war shall continue and him and Diche should join in too thus maming him disagree with her leaving the war and attempts to bring her back by sending the Archdemon to destroy the world that she created. To counter this, Diche creates heirs, people with more power than the average residents of Orbis. She also creates guardians to aid the heirs in defeating the Archdemon. She creates a heir to represent herself, Ras Eclare, who is named The Heir of the Covenant. Every time the heirs fail to defeat the Archdemon, she 'resets' the world by fixing the destruction and wiping everybody's minds of the defeat.

Also the war between gods started out of pure greed over different universes that two gods made. Diche, Ilyros, Orbis and other gods other then the two kind of got dragged within that said war. In both og and in swap au too

However, peace of those escaped from the war didn't last long as one of the other gods that still fought in the war used teheir powers and manipulated Diche making her think that once she and others came back and fought alongside others the war would be over in haze Diche agrees and plans to destroy Orbis's body and planet she dearly loved.
   Once Ilroys and ones that joined Diche on the escape from the war tried to stop her knowing Diche loved Orbis and planet within it so much so that a simple what if threats made her create heirs people stronger then any ordinary human and guardians that would protect Orbis
  Diche and Ilryos get in fight due to this and during one of the fights Diche creates Ras Eclare who was supposed to represent her yet their goals at first were different, Ras believed that there was other ways world could be saved but Diche was strongly against the idea thanks to her begin after a fragment that was deep within Orbis along with ending celectial war.
  For some time begin Ras fought along side rebels whom were against the goddess wishes but after six times of Diches defeat and losing almost all of his friends for the sixth time some of whom would never again see light of day ever again (heirs cannot be bought back even after death)
If that wasn't enough Diche also removed memories of dead heirs from everyone but Ras and all of worlds resets were made forgotten from others minds and yet Ras didn't give up, he kept his hopes up for long enough for his guardian, Arkasus which caused Ras to have a break down and eventually give up fighting his purpose, joining Diche and beteying his friends...
