Goten stepped into the pristine white halls of Capsule Corp, carrying Gunun’s unconscious body over his shoulder. The lights overhead cast sharp shadows across his tired face, but his mind was already racing forward, thinking of the next step. His heart, however, was still heavy with the weight of the battle. Gunun had been a formidable opponent—one that pushed him to the very brink.

Inside the lab, Bulla sat in front of her advanced diagnostic machines, her attention glued to the holographic displays floating above her workstation. The hum of machinery filled the air, but the atmosphere was oddly still—too calm, considering what had just transpired outside. As soon as Bulla saw Goten enter, her expression changed from focused concentration to shock.

Her bright blue eyes widened, and she shot up from her chair. “What the hell, Goten? Look at him! You almost killed him!” she shouted, rushing over to Gunun’s lifeless form. The blood from Gunun’s wounds soaked through his tattered black jumpsuit, and his white hair, normally cropped and sharp, was now matted and caked with dried blood. His once-fiery orange eyes were closed, and his body hung limp in Goten's grip.

Goten lowered him onto a table, avoiding Bulla’s furious gaze. “I didn’t have a choice, Bulla,” he muttered. His voice was strained, filled with fatigue and guilt. “Gunun’s not himself anymore… the Neo Machine Mutant took over completely. He was gone.”

Bulla snapped her eyes to him, disbelief washing over her face. “Gone? You sure about that, Goten? What about the host? Did you even try to save him, or were you just thinking about how to win?”

Goten clenched his fists. The room felt colder, more suffocating. He wanted to argue, to tell her how much he struggled to hold back, but the truth was, he didn’t. When Gunun’s power spiked, Goten reacted on instinct, pushing his limits just to survive.

“Look,” he finally said, voice low, “I don’t know if the real Gunun is still in there, but we didn’t have time to figure it out. He was trying to destroy everything.”

Bulla huffed, turning back to the diagnostic machine. “Well, we’ll see about that.” She began connecting electrodes and sensors to Gunun’s body. As the machines started to beep and hum, they scanned his biological patterns, the holographic readouts analyzing his vitals and neural activity.

Goten watched silently, his mind still buzzing from the battle. Images of Gunun flashed through his thoughts—the raw power, the desperation, and finally, the emptiness in his eyes. There was no malice, just survival instinct. But there was something else, something Goten couldn’t quite shake. A feeling that Gunun had been fighting for more than just power.

Suddenly, the diagnostic machine beeped sharply, and a holographic display flickered to life above Gunun. His neural pathways were highlighted in bright red—a sign of severe damage and external manipulation. Bulla’s eyes narrowed as she analyzed the data.
