"Mommy, what will we do?" Rian asked me, his eyes shining with anticipation.

"Ah, how about a movie?" I suggested, trying to gauge his interest.

"Yeah! That would be awesome!" he exclaimed, his face lighting up with excitement. I smiled, thrilled to see my baby so happy after many days.

I glanced at Revansh, who was watching us with a subtle smile. "Maa is calling us for breakfast," I reminded him. He nodded, and we headed to the dining room.

As we sat down at the table, I couldn't help but admire the stunning interior of the room. The all-white decor was sleek and sophisticated, and the magnificent chandelier hanging from the ceiling was truly breathtaking.

As we began eating, I noticed a peculiar dynamic. No one started eating until he did, and everyone seemed to be waiting for his cue. It was as if he was the patriarch of the family, and his word was law.

After breakfast, the men left for work, and I took Rian to his room. I picked up his laptop – yes, my little Richie Rich has his own laptop and mobile! – and asked, "Mommy, I want to watch a movie today."

"Which movie, baby?" I asked, staring at my little one's sparkling eyes, eager to know his choice

"Mommy, I've been wanting to watch this one movie for a long time, but I needed someone to watch it with. Can we watch it together?" I felt a knot in my stomach as I picked up the water bottle and began drinking slowly, stalling for time. The name of the horror movie sent shivers down my spine - The Conjuring.

Oh god, have mercy on me!

As I sat there, trying to come up with a valid excuse, I couldn't help but think about how I used to watch horror movies with my younger sister. She was always there to hold and comfort me when I got scared. But now, I was alonewith my little one, and I knew he wouldn't be able to provide the same comfort. I felt like a scaredy-cat, and I didn't want my child to think I was a wimp.

Just then, my inner voice piped up, "Ada, you're 25 years old, for crying out loud! Don't be afraid of horror movies. Just watch it!"

But I knew I couldn't do it. I was terrified, and I didn't want to admit it to my child. I looked at my little one, his face filled with anticipation, and I knew Icouldn't disappoint him. So, I took a deep breath and said, "Okay baby, we'll watch it."

"What's the name of the movie?" I asked, already knowing the answer. "The Conjuring, Mommy! I want to watch the full movie today!" he exclaimed. I felt my heart sink, and I thought to myself,

"Is this child trying to give me a heart attack?" But then, my inner voice chimed in again, "Ada, you can do it! You're brave, aren't you?" So, I put on a brave face and said, "Okay, let's watch it!"
