Quinn pov

I pushed open the heavy door of the bar, the familiar hum of chatter and clinking glasses greeting me. It had been a long past few days, and I was looking forward to a drink. They don't check for ID. I don't know why, but they don't.

As I made my way to the bar, I saw a familiar girl. She was sitting at the bar, her back to me, but I recognized her immediately. It was the girl I had met the first day I got here.

Gathering my courage, I walked over and took the empty seat next to her. She glanced over at me, her eyes widening in recognition.

"Hey," I said, trying to keep my voice casual. "You're Celeste right? We met a few days ago here." I said. And a smile spread across her face. "Yeah, I remember you. Quinn, right? It's nice to see you!" She said very enthusiastically.

"Can I have your number?" she said, her smile never wavering, handing me a pen. "Yeah, of course!!" I replied, smiling. "Thanks girl." She says as I hand her a napkin with my number on it.

We fell into easy conversation, talking about everything from our favorite books to the latest movies. It was like we had known each other for years, and I found myself laughing more than I had in a long time. I've never made a friend this fast before.

After a while, the bartender came over to take our orders. I glanced over to her "What are you having?"

"How about a couple of margaritas?" she suggested, her eyes sparkling.

"Sounds perfect," I agreed.

As we sipped our drinks, the conversation continued to flow effortlessly. It was clear that there was a connection between us, and I couldn't help but happy. Eventually, the night began to wind down, and I realized how late it had gotten. "I should probably get going," I said reluctantly.

"Yeah, me too," she replied, a hint of disappointment in her voice.

We promised to meet up again soon. As I walked out of the bar, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Meeting Celeste had been unexpected but incredibly refreshing. As I stepped out into the cool night air.

The next few hours we're so boring. I found myself wondering what she was doing, if she was thinking about our conversation as much as I was. Finally, I decided to text her.

Me: Hey Celeste, it's Quinn. Had
a great time the other night.
Want to do anything?

I hit send and waited, my heart pounding a little faster than usual. It didn't take long for a reply to come through.

Celeste: Hey Quinn! I'd
love to. You free right now?
We can meet at Brooklyn's
Boutique!!

Me: Sounds perfect.
See you then!

I typed back, feeling a rush of excitement.

I got ready and walked there, it took about 15 minutes.

I found a cozy corner table and sat there waiting. A few minutes later, she walked in, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on me. She smiled and waved, making her way over.

"Hey, Quinn," she said, sliding into the seat across from me.

We fell into easy conversation once again, just like we had at the bar. It was amazing how comfortable I felt around her, like we had known each other for much longer than just a few days. We talked about almost anything and everything. Time seemed to fly by, and before we knew it, the afternoon had turned into evening.
