Rays pov

On the other side of the door was rather short, about 45 year old woman. Her hair was brown with streaks of gray. She was smiling at me, but the smile seemed to fake, as her eyes conveyed the message, "You are very annoying to me".

"Oh! Hello Ray! I haven't seen you in so long. You've grown so much!" she said this sincerely, but I still had a bad feeling.

"Uh, hi, yeah," I mumbled.

I watched as her eyes flicked from my rather messy appearance to the equally messy house behind me, her expression giving little signs of disgust, before she replied, "Alright, are you packed?"

"Yes," I said, and grabbed my stuff.

It wasn't much, so I just carried to her car by myself. Soon I was on my way to her house, sitting in the back seat in silence. The whole drive was eerily quiet, and I wasn't really sure why. Isn't she supposed to be a mess? Why is she so cheery? It's creepy. Finally, we arrived. She showed me around, with me mumbling responses when necessary.

At last, she showed me to my room, the former guest room, and said, "Well, you must be tired. You can rest here for a bit." She closed the door behind me as I pulled in my things.

I collapsed on the floor. After a few minutes of staring at the blank ceiling I picked up my phone.

42 messages from 'norman'

This made me laugh. I opened our texts to him asking if I was okay about 12 times, telling me that he loved me, various other comforting things, a picture of his cat, etc. I texted him back that I was alright and moved in. He replied right away with :D. Sarah pretty much left me alone until 6:00pm, when she opened the door, without knocking? Weird.

"Ray, It's dinner, come down to the table."

"Oh, alright," I followed her downstairs.

She had made sandwiches. I did not know what mine contained, but I didn't really care, as I suddenly realized that I had not eaten lunch or breakfast.

"Thank you," I said.

She nodded. I began to eat my food. It was honestly pretty terrible, but again, I didn't care.

Sarah continued to stare at me, until she said, "Can't you see with your hair over your eyes like that?"

Is this the most important thing right now? Seriously? "Oh, uh, yeah, I can see fine."

She looked a bit put off by this, "But don't you think you look a bit anti-social like that? A bit messy?"

I was mildly horrified. This woman was tearing apart the messiness of my haircut the day of my mother's death? To refrain from simply gaping at her, I said, "Er- No?"

She just shook her head, "Kids these days."

My eye twitched, "I'm going to go to bed now. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

That night, I had a nightmare. It was very scrambled and blurry, but I remember that Norman was bleeding from the face, and some people were laughing, and Sarah was the size of a building. There was also a turtle, I think. It was strange, but I jolted awake.

Author's Note: This chapter was kind of rushed, but I wanted to post something and I'm tired, so here we are. Also yes there will be more on Norman's cat(She has killed at least one pigeon, i dont know her exact kill count though). BYE BYE.
