**INT. APARTMENT 4A - NIGHT - LATER**
The group finishes dinner, and Sheldon continues to express his concerns about Rafael.
Sheldon: Leonard, we need to devise a strategy to gather more information about Rafael. A comprehensive background check is essential.
Leonard: Sheldon, he's just a new neighbor. We don't need to run a CIA-level investigation.
Penny: Exactly. Let's just get to know him the normal way-by being friendly.
Sheldon: Friendly? The man could be hiding secrets! For all we know, he could be a sleeper agent with a mission to sabotage our research.
Amy: Or he could be just another guy who likes Star Wars and likes coding.
Howard: Or both! Imagine a spy who's also a massive Star Wars fan. (Excitedly) We could call him "The Phantom Menace."
Bernadette: Okay, let's not get carried away. How about we invite him over for dinner tomorrow? It's a good way to learn more about him without being creepy.
Rajesh: That's a great idea. I can make my famous lamb curry-oh wait, is he vegan too?
Leonard: We can ask him about dietary restrictions when we invite him.
Sheldon: Fine. A dinner invitation it is. But I reserve the right to conduct a thorough interview.
Penny: Let's just make sure you don't scare him off.
**INT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY - NEXT DAY**
Leonard and Penny stand outside Rafael's door, preparing to knock.
Penny: Ready?
*Leonard: As ready as I'll ever be. (Knocks on the door)
Rafael opens the door, looking surprised but pleased to see them.
Rafael: Oh, hey Leonard, Penny. What's up?
Leonard: Hi Rafael. We were wondering if you'd like to join us for dinner tonight. A kind of "welcome to the building" meal.
Rafael: That sounds great! I'd love to. I was just unpacking and could use a break.
Penny: Awesome. Do you have any dietary restrictions?
Rafael: Not really. I'm fine with anything, but I do appreciate vegan options.
Leonard: Great! We'll have some vegan options ready. See you at 7?
Rafael: Perfect. See you then.
**INT. APARTMENT 4A - NIGHT**
The group has prepared a mix of dishes, including Rajesh's lamb curry and several vegan dishes. They nervously await Rafael's arrival.
Sheldon: Remember, everyone, act naturally. We need to gather as much information as possible without raising suspicion.
Penny: Sheldon, you're the one who needs to act naturally. The rest of us are fine.
The doorbell rings. Leonard opens the door to reveal Rafael.
Leonard: Welcome, Rafael! Come on in.
Rafael: Thanks for inviting me. This smells amazing!
Amy: We've got a bit of everything. Please, make yourself at home.
They all gather around the table, starting to serve food.
Howard: So, Rafael, what brought you to Pasadena?
Rafael: I got a job offer from a tech company here. It was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.
Sheldon: What exactly do you do?
Rafael: I'm a software engineer. Mostly working on AI and machine learning projects.
Sheldon: Fascinating. AI, you say? Have you ever considered the ethical implications of autonomous systems?
Rafael: All the time. It's a major part of our discussions at work. Balancing innovation with responsibility is crucial.
Leonard: (changing the subject) So, how did you get into Star Wars?
Rafael: My dad accidentally bought a DVD of the Phantom of Menace, then on I was enthralled with the universe, I got my first collection when I saw in a thrift an old Darth Vader figure in a box. Collecting memorabilia is something I did throughout my college years. It's nostalgic for me.
Howard: Do you have a favorite piece in your collection?
Rafael: Probably the original 1978 Luke Skywalker action figure. It's still in the box, never opened.
Howard: (dreamily) You're living the dream, man. I may want to visit to your place just to pray on it
Penny: So, do you have any hobbies outside of work and Star Wars?
Rafael: I'm really into hiking and photography. I've heard there are some great trails around here.
Amy: I heard California has great spots, I just hope you find a partner to join you.
Sheldon: Hiking? Interesting. Did you know that walking at a moderate pace for just 30 minutes can improve cognitive function?
Rafael: I did, actually. It's one of the reasons I enjoy it. Plus, it's a great way to clear my mind after a long day of coding.
The dinner continues, with the group asking questions and sharing stories. By the end of the night, everyone feels more comfortable with Rafael.
**INT. APARTMENT 4A - LATER THAT NIGHT**
After Rafael leaves, the group sits back, reflecting on the evening.
Sheldon: Well, he seems... acceptable.
Penny: He's great, Sheldon. We don't need to overanalyze him.
Amy: I think he'll fit in just fine.
Leonard: Agreed. He's a nice guy, and it's always good to have more friends in the building.
Howard: Plus, he's got that Star Wars collection. We definitely need to see more of that.
Rajesh: And he liked my curry. I think we've got a keeper.
Sheldon: Very well. I suppose my 1440 Myers-Briggs questions can wait. For now.
The group laughs and relaxes, having successfully welcomed their new neighbor into their lives.
