I genuinely don't know why, but my classmates have been begging me to play FE!N by Travis Scott at our Christmas party. Since November when I first showed them my talent in being a DJ they've all been clamoring for me to play that damn song. What the hell, guys?

Anyway, I've been working on some new mixes when my best friend, Minji, texted me about Danielle's latest comeback. She's one of the most hyped soloists in the world right now and it's honestly not hard to see why. Her smooth voice is so nice to listen to, she's incredibly beautiful and just a nice person from what I've seen. Thank goodness I'm going to get to see her in a fan sign soon!

It took me 20 albums which is less than some people but I actually, legitimately punched a hole in my wall from how excited I was reading the email. My mom was quite mad at that, but a week later she laughed it off as a funny gaffe. She still happily booked my flight ticket to South Korea just for me to see her.

In any case, my fan meeting is in a week and I genuinely cannot wait to meet her! I was honestly thinking about what I should tell her and I wanna show her some stuff I made with her music. Some remixes, some mashups, that kind of stuff. Here's to hoping for her to actually like them!

Korea is such an amazing place to visit. Even though the flight was really long, I can't believe I'm actually here in this land I've only admired from a far, through the lens of K-pop and K-dramas. Standing in it is a different experience in itself. But I'm not here for too long, so I had to say goodbye to sightseeing and say hello to a long queue outside Danielle's fansign.

As I stood in line at Danielle's event, I shit you not my heart was beating at a mile a minute. I couldn't believe I was finally going to meet her and that I was even in the same room as her. She had been the soundtrack to so many moments of my life and seeing her with my own eyes 10 meters away, she was truly staggeringly ethereal. I was acutely aware of the sweat building up almost everywhere on my body. Clutching my copy of her latest album, I shuffled forward in line waiting for her staff to signal me in.

And finally it happened! I approached the table where Danielle sat, surrounded by her team and a sea of adoring fans behind me. I couldn't help but marvel at her presence as it felt like all the noise and chaos behind me disappeared. She just embodied warmth and grace, her smile so genuine and bright as she greeted every fan with anticipation and appreciation. Despite the whirlwind of activity around her, she really took the time to connect with each person, making them feel valued and heard. She would not only engage with each one no matter how much they were yapping, but she would make genuine eye contact, give compliments, and make some physical contact despite the glares from her manager.

When it was finally my turn, I stepped forward, my heart seemingly pounding faster in my chest. Danielle looked up, her eyes meeting mine, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. In that instant, all my nerves melted away, replaced by a sense of calm and wonder.

"Honey, you're staring," Danielle said in her Australian accent which was so familiar to me, her voice truly as sweet as honey. I broke out of my trance and sat down in front of her. "What's your name?", she asked with an inquisitive smile.

"Uh, Hanni," I managed to reply, my voice barely above a whisper.

"It's lovely to meet you, Hanni, honey Hanni, huh?" she said, her smile lighting up her face. "Thank you so much for coming today."

I handed her my album, feeling a surge of emotion as she signed it with a practiced ease. As she handed it back to me, our fingers brushed briefly, sending a feeling like electricity through my veins. It was a fleeting touch, but it left an indelible impression, like the first notes of her song that lingered in the air long after the song had ended.
