Tranika sat in Adhiraj's lap, her head resting on his chest. The basement's dim lighting cast shadows around them, adding to the eerie atmosphere.

"Why are we here? I want to go home. Your basement is creepy," Tranika said, her voice a mix of irritation and discomfort.

"As my love says," Adhiraj replied softly. He stood up, lifting her effortlessly into his arms.

"Put me down, Adhiraj. Your men will watch us," Tranika protested, wiggling in his hold.

"Let them see who their lady boss is," he replied confidently, a hint of pride in his voice.

They reached the car, and Adhiraj gently set her in the passenger seat before getting in himself. The drive to her house was silent but peaceful, the tension of the basement dissipating.

"It's your birthday next week," Adhiraj remarked, breaking the silence.

"How do you know?" Tranika asked, turning to face him, curiosity evident in her tone.

Adhiraj smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I know everything about my girl."

"Of course you do," Tranika replied, a small smile playing on her lips.

They soon arrived at Tranika's home. Both stepped out of the car, the quiet of the early morning wrapping around them.

"It's already 3 AM, Adhiraj. Come stay with me for the night. It's late," Tranika suggested, her tone leaving little room for refusal.

"Irade thik nahi lag rahe h apke," Adhiraj replied with a smirk, teasing her.

"Shut up and come inside," she retorted, rolling her eyes.

"Ordering? Are we?" Adhiraj teased further.

"Awww, is Adhiraj Singh Chaudhary angry because I ordered him? What will he do now?" Tranika said playfully, a challenging glint in her eyes.

Adhiraj stepped closer, his voice low and teasing, "You want to see what I can do?"

Tranika, a woman known for her strength and sharpness in front of others, found herself feeling vulnerable yet playful with Adhiraj. He cherished this effect he had on her.

"No, I want to sleep," Tranika replied, faking a yawn.

Adhiraj chuckled, and together they went inside. As they entered her room, Adhiraj couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and coziness wash over him.

"You love white?" he asked, noticing the predominantly white decor.

"Yesss," she replied, her eyes sparkling.

"You've decorated this government house of yours very well," he commented, genuinely impressed.

"Niti did," she replied, a hint of pride in her voice for her niti.
