Chapter 8: Dead to me, and everyone else - Pt.1

Berry was getting near to the ring of daylight surprisingly fast, and she somehow prevented herself from slipping and falling in the immense, heavy rain. The biome was purely grasslands and a couple of trees, and hills here and there but nothing much. She was getting tired from running now, so she started walking at a fast pace. Up ahead she saw a very dense and healthy-looking apple tree which looked like it had been grown by someone in the area. But the thing is, someone was sleeping under it. It was a woman who looked like she could be a samurai of some sort. She had a wide, black bamboo hat which covered her face as she was sleeping, and she was wearing a black split dress. She also had dark brown hair and had next to her, a brown katana which had a tint of brown, which was stuck in the ground. Berry stared at her from a distance, then carried on walking. She had got practically next to the woman sleeping under the tree, but she carried on her way. She could practically smell the essence and the aura of the ring of daylight now, but it was almost carefully concealed by the rain, which made her quite irritated. While she was trying to bear her excitement to a most likely, friendly, "ring" of people, when she felt a slight tap on her shoulder. "Hey..." It was the woman sleeping under the tree! But how did she catch up with Berry so fast? She also had her katana with her, which made her shiver a bit "You can't go in this area" Berry flinched. "W-w-why?" Berry replied shakily. "Because you have a shrouden on you," She said uniformly. "And who are you to talk? What's even your name?" Berry stated firmly. "My name is Kitan, and I'm the bodyguard of the Ring of daylight, you're putting many people at risk of harm by bringing that in... also, what's in that flask?" Berry then clinched her robust fists. "B-but this shrouden, he's my friend! You have to believe me! He saved me from so many times I would've died! I can't just let him go! I'm sure you would understand! See, look! He's patching up an injured chunk of my forehead right now! Wanna see? I can-" Kitan put her finger on Berry's lips. "Look, get that shrouden out of here, or I'll have to literally kill you for the safety of the people," Kitan said. "Go ahead then! Fight me! I'm going to the Ring of daylight, whether you like it or not!" Berry shouted. "Never mind... but just don't blame me for your instantaneous death" But suddenly, Kitan vanished, then appeared behind Berry. Kitan pulled on her wet hair, which made her fall to the ground. Berry picked herself up and went for a direct hit, but missed. Kitan swung her blade, but Berry caught it and threw it at Kitan, bruising her shoulder. "Hm," Kitan said. Kitan swiftly picked up her katana and threw it up in the air, and said, "Crimson phoenix assault!" Before the katana could land on the ground, Kitan rushed towards Berry, picked up her katana in the air and sliced her in her stomach. "Nice one-" she said while coughing blood. Berry was about to fall, but she stretched her arm out and the blue, digital arm came out and punched Kitan in the face, drawing some blood. Suddenly, Kitan spun her katana in her hand and lightly slit her right cheek with her katana, saying, "Meh, This is embarrassing, get up... I'm bored, I wanna see your strength..." Then, Berry grinned and while getting her stance, slowly but hastily "You ready yet? robot hands?..." Berry spat some gooey blood and said, "It's Berry" The rain was starting to clear from the skies and the sun was coming up. Adrenaline was tearing through Berry's faint body and she couldn't keep it in her soul any longer. She had to strike Kitan any time soon... really soon. But, Berry kept her composure and limped towards Kitan. Berry gingerly punched Kitan in the stomach and she sighed and plunged the katana into her stomach. Kitan thrust it out and Berry coughed up a lot of blood and gently punched Kitan again. "Seriously?... you're gonna die this fast? I thought you might've been stronger, but eh... You're seemingly the weakest opponent I've fought, so at least you've got that to be proud of..." But, Berry fell to her knees and muttered, "I'm the weakest" In an instant, Berry's robot hands flashed a bright electric blue color, and then they changed back to normal. Berry briskly got up and knocked her head back and forth repeatedly but stopped for a moment and said, "Oh..." she opened her flask, took out a clump of raspberries and devoured them in her hand. "I 'm-I'm-I'm not done yet," Berry said with an audible sigh. "Welcome back!" Kitan stated. Berry rushed forward and struck Kitan, pinning her to the ground. She started punching hysterically at Kitan, but Kitan countered it, by using the vanishing move she did earlier, but this time not attacking her, just dodging Berry's attack. But Kitan suddenly said, "Butterfly rush" Kitan ran towards Berry, sliced her multiple times in all directions, and finished it off with a final strike. "You know, I don't get people like you every day... Such a shame to see you go so soon" Berry couldn't take any more of Kitan's strikes, Berry fell face first onto the lush grass, while blood seeped into the soil. "I-I can still... fight..." Berry said. "No, you can't... give up already so I can get some sleep..." Kitan dragged Berry's body to the tree she was sleeping in, laid her on her back and slowly drifted off... But, Berry still wasn't done with Kitan just yet... Berry stuck her robot arm out and tried to shoot Kitan with a beam of electricity, but Kitan slowly picked up her katana from the ground and stuck it inside the palm of her hand. Berry groaned and a burst of electricity travelled through Berry's hand, electrically shocking Kitan, and making her jolt a bit. "Oh, that's it, you're dead... Little kid..." Kitan pulled her katana from Berry's hand and plunged it into Berry's stomach. "Well," Kitan said while twisting the blade each time she said a word. "Maybe... I just... like... killing!" Blood splattered Kitan's face as she twisted the blade once more. Kitan pulled out her katana and drifted off once more... Below was still sleeping in Berry's head, still oblivious to what was going on, but still, he noticed there wasn't much movement going on, so he woke up. "Berry?... What? What happened?" Below shouted. "Eh? Shroudens can talk?... Hm... maybe that girl was right..." Below climbed out of Berry's head to get a Better look at the surroundings and what was going on. "It was you wasn't it..." said Below. "Uh... yeah?" Kitan said, confused. "Why-why the hell would you kill a child! Forget it! There's no justification for that!" Below yelled. "Shut up..." Just then, Kitan threw her katana at Below, piercing him in stomach. Below deeply exhaled and pulled the katana out of his stomach. "I'll take... this..." Below said. "Give it..." Kitan muttered. "Nope..." Below said with courage. "Give it or you're dead" Kitan fiercely said. Below lightly inhaled and he got pulled into a black portal by the massive black hand. Kitan was stunned by the sight, but grinned. Below appeared above Kitan, planning to stab her from above, roaring with rage simultaneously. Kitan weaved the attack and slammed Below's head into the ground and stepped on his head, picking up her katana whole doing so. "Wow... people sure have got weaker over the years-" Then, Below moaned painfully and a portal emerged and punched Kitan, sending her airborne for a moment. "Maybe I was wrong..." Below stood up, sighed and ran towards Kitan in fury. "Stupid shrouden... heh" She muttered. But Below slided across the ground and a hand pulled him under the ground. "That's a new one..." Suddenly, Below appeared in all directions, going into multiple portals at a time, making it hard to know where he was. "Damned shrouden..." Kitan mumbled. A hand suddenly pulled her from backwards and Below appeared and when Kitan was launched out from it, Below grabbed Kitan and spun her around and threw her, sending her into another portal which when she came out of it, Below forcefully elbowed her in the chest sending her toppling a bit. "Damn it... I swore never to use this, but I guess I have to-" Just then, Kitan threw her bamboo hat and roared wildly, revealing her... antenna? "Wait... You're a..." Kitan stopped for a moment and said, "Yes" Then, she leaped on Below, sweeping her katana uncontrollably in Below's face, making Below yell and scream while red-ish blue-ish blood streamed from his face. "Screw it..." Kitan whispered. She got up, walked over to Berry's body, and stabbed Berry one last time in the guts, then went back to Below, and slashed him in the face, making a bloody, crimson X shape on his face. "Maybe I don't killing..." Kitan had finally came to her senses and stopped and went up to pick up her hat. "Eh, atleast I have my ha-" almost instantly, Kitan heard a strike of lighting from behind her... the lighting had struck Berry and it jolted her up. She slowly got up and looked at her guts. There was a big-ish hole in her. She almost fainted at the sight, but pulled the katana out of her and shouted, "Hey!" She said coughing up a little bit of blood. "I don't think... you... you get it do you..." Kitan tilted her head. "I said... I said..."

"I said I could still fight..."
