"Disconnect the crates," Ezra ordered quickly, as his brother jabbed his staff into the metal joints, a shock pulsing through his arms from the reaction. Having one of the crates disconnect made a girl in colorful armor stop moving and get stranded behind them. She gave a small, pitiful wave. Ezra took a sharp turn, and he just had time to brace himself. "A bit of warning next time, Ezra?" He asked, sighing and moving hair out of his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, shut up Soot," Ezra replied. He always called him that.

"Eep!" He ducked down as a shot was fired at his head. He heard someone yell, "Don't hurt them, just get the crates!" He looked behind himself to see someone chasing them. The man on a speeder cut them off. Ezra skidded to a halt; troopers were coming toward us. "Ezra..." He muttered the warning. "Shut up, Soot, follow me," he growled nervously, following the man who had been chasing them just moments ago. Ezra unlatched the crate they were running with, sprinting and leaping to the drawbridge of the ship that hovered above them. "Soot, get up here," he heard him call. "On my way," he shouted back, sprinting as fast as his legs would take him, jumping off a cliff into the ship's dock. He rolled on the metal, sliding to his feet in the end.

"Look, we were just doing the same thing you were, stealing to survive," Ezra tried to get us out of our situation. he put his hands up in defense; it was true. It was hard to live on Lothal, and stealing was a large way of living. "You have no idea what we were doing, you don't know us," the purple one complained, bumping Ezra. "And I don't want to. I just want off this burner," Ezra complained. "It's a nice ship, Ezra, don't be rude," He spoke up, earning a harsh glare. "Please, nothing would thrill me more than tossing you two out mid-flight," the purple one replied. They clearly had already created a bad chemistry. He spun his bo-staff in his hands nervously, looking around, trying to find a way out of this situation. The ship got shot, making the purple man fall atop Ezra. It was a perfect time to slip away. Leaning his staff against the wall, he phased through the wall into another room.

Small thuds were heard in the other room, only what he could assume was a fight of sorts. he phased through another wall and climbed a ladder; voices complaining softly through doors was something he could hear. A voice came over an announcement in the ship: "Zeb, Sabine. Where are the kids?" The male voice rang. He couldn't hear anything but the soft clattering in the vents. He forced himself to not shy away and become unseen, instead knocking on the door to the hull of the ship. "Zeb, where is h—" The door opening with a hiss cut the man off. He gave a small nervous wave. "Well, one of them's still in the ship at least," the purple man named Zeb spoke. "We lost the other one, but one of them is definitely in the ship," the helmeted girl's voice rang out.

"One of the kids is up here with us," the Twi'lek's voice spoke with a kind smile, motioning for him to sit down. "Very creative. Sounds like someone I used to know," the woman went back to flipping switches in her ship. The man groaned, standing up and walking away. "What's your deal, kid, and where's your brother?" the woman questioned him. "He's not my brother," he quickly spat out. "But knowing him, he would be in the vents," he ended up replying to the kind woman. The woman managed to keep a conversation while fleeing TIE fighters. "Entering hyperspace," she announced to the ship as the bright blue light of hyperspace engulfed his vision.

"Let go, you can't keep me here. Take me back to Lothal," Ezra demanded to Zeb as they both entered the hull of the ship. Ezra had gone back to only caring about himself, clearly unaware that he had disappeared a good half an hour ago. "Calm down, that's exactly what we're doing," the woman, whom he learned to be Hera, replied. He curled up, tucking his knees to his chest as he sat, looking into space for the first time in his known life. "Wait," Ezra came to a realization. "With the Imperials chasing us?" He panicked. "We lost the TIEs in the jump, and the Ghost can scramble its signature, so they won't recognize us when we return," she assured his supposed brother.

"Oh, that's... pretty cool. So just drop my blasters and me outside Capital City and—" The doors slid open. "They're not your blasters," the girl from before said. "And we're not going back to Capital City. The job's not done," the man from before confirmed what he thought; they clearly had a mission. Ezra took notice of his blond hair peeking out from the chair he sat on. "Just a moment," he could hear his brother's voice as his arm was grabbed, and he was dragged out of the room. "What were you doing?" his brother whispered to him, gripping his arm tightly. "Being kind and not sneaking through a ship," he retorted back. "Soot, shut up. Honestly, I should've left you at home," Ezra let go, rubbing his arm painfully. "Stop calling me Soot, and stop acting like my father. You're my older brother. That's it. We shouldn't even be brothers; we don't like each other." He received a hit to his cheek for that snide comment. "Shut up, Mom and Dad put me in charge of you, so I'll be in charge, Soot."

"Oh, screw off, Ezra. You're not in charge here. We're on someone else's ship."

AN/ this is a rewrite and so some things might be mixed up, forgive me for the weird spelling Grammarly wasn't on my side. i would like to emphasize that they are not brothers by blood but are both force-sensitive. phasing through objects is a power listed of the force, others are things like invisibility but I think that's a a bit too OP so phasing though walls is it.
