"He saw you!" Ryan shouted as you ran into the library dripping his hair tightly between his fingers. who saw what? I had no idea what he was shouting about, he had just come back from the meeting with all the alphas in the king.
" huh?" I asked closing the book I was reading, it had nothing useful on the prophecy anyways.
" Lucas, the Kings beta he saw the blue flame that morning after your ceremony" my heart dropped. Ryan's words sent a shiver down my spine. Lucas had seen the blue flame—the manifestation of my Divine Magic. Panic threatened to overwhelm me as I considered the implications. Did Lucas suspect the truth? Did he know about the prophecy and my role in it?
"Did he say anything?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, my heart pounding in my chest.
Ryan ran a hand through his hair, his expression tense. "He didn't say much, but his expression..." He trailed off, unable to find the words to convey the seriousness of the situation.
I felt a wave of anxiety wash over me as I tried to process the news. Lucas was a formidable ally, but he was also fiercely loyal to the King. If he suspected the truth about me, would he report it to the King? And if he did, what would that mean for me and the pack?
"We need to be careful," Ryan said, his voice low and urgent. "We can't afford to let anyone else find out about your abilities, especially not someone as influential as Lucas."
I nodded, my mind racing with possibilities. "What do we do now?"
Ryan's expression hardened with determination. "We keep a low profile. We don't draw any unnecessary attention to ourselves, and we certainly don't give anyone cause to suspect the truth."
I swallowed hard, the weight of the situation settling heavily on my shoulders. The stakes had never been higher, and the danger had never felt more real. But I knew that I couldn't let fear paralyze me. I had to be strong, for the pack, for myself.
"We'll figure this out," Ryan said, his voice firm and reassuring. "We'll find a way to protect you, no matter what."
" attack on the east border" a voice rang through my head and I knew immediately that it was alex's, and I knew Ryan had got it too Alex was using the Mind link between the pack to alert us. " we're outnumbered" his voice came again causing me to look at Ryan wide-eyed.
The urgency in Alex's voice sent a chill down my spine. We were under attack again, and this time, we were outnumbered. My heart raced as I exchanged a panicked glance with Ryan, both of us knowing that we had to act fast to protect our pack.
"Get everyone ready," Ryan said, his voice tense with determination. "We need to reinforce the east border and hold off the attackers until we can regroup."
I nodded, my mind already racing through the logistics of the situation. We couldn't afford to let the rogues breach our defenses again, not when the safety of the pack hung in the balance.
As we rushed to rally the pack, a sense of urgency and purpose filled the air. Every member knew what was at stake, and they were ready to fight to protect their home and their loved ones.
With grim determination, we made our way to the east border, where the sounds of battle echoed through the night. The air crackled with energy as our pack clashed with the rogue attackers, the scent of blood and sweat hanging heavy in the air.
I leapt into the fray, my senses heightened with adrenaline as I fought alongside my pack members. The blue flame danced at my fingertips, a potent reminder of the power within me. With each strike, I pushed back the rogues, my movements swift and precise.
