Suga's pov
The tension in the air is palpable as we stand before Hoseok's mother,Mrs Park formerly called Mrs Jung, the weight of the truth heavy on our shoulders. I watch as her expression shifts from surprise to apprehension, knowing that our confrontation is long overdue.
"Mrs. Park," I begin, my voice steady yet tinged with empathy, "we need to talk to you about Jiwoo."
Her eyes widen at the mention of Jiwoo's name, a flicker of guilt passing over her features before she quickly composes herself. "Jiwoo? Who is she?"
I take a step forward, locking eyes with her as I speak. "You lied to Hoseok, Mrs. Park. You told him he was an only child, but he's not, is he? Jiwoo is his sister."
Her facade falters, guilt written plainly across her face as she struggles to find the right words. "Hoseok, I... I didn't mean to—"
"You didn't mean to what, Mom?" Hoseok's voice is tinged with frustration as he confronts her. "To lie to me? To keep me in the dark about my own sister."
I can see the pain in Hoseok's eyes, the betrayal cutting deep as he grapples with the truth. Stepping forward, Agust D places a hand on his shoulder, offering silent support as he faces his mother.
"Mrs. Park, we know the truth," I interject, my voice calm yet firm. "We know about Jiwoo and
Hoseok's past, about the choices you made to protect them."
Tears well in Mrs. Park's eyes as she listens to our accusations, her guilt laid bare for all to see.
"I'm sorry," she whispers, her voice choked with emotion. "I'm so sorry, Hoseok."
In that moment, the weight of the truth hangs heavy in the air, the silence echoing with years of secrets and lies. But as Hoseok steps forward to embrace his mother, forgiveness shines in his eyes, and I feel a glimmer of hope stir within me.
"It's okay, Mom," Hoseok murmurs, his voice soft with understanding. "We'll figure this out together."
And as we stand together in that small apartment, united by the shared journey of reconciliation, I know that despite the pain of the past, there is hope for healing—a future built on honesty, understanding, and the unbreakable bond of family.
Agust D pov
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the next part of the conversation. "There's something else I need to tell you," I began, his voice steady despite the turmoil raging within him. "It's about..... D'you remember in the call we had a week ago, I mentioned a friend of Suga who looks a lot like you?"
'Yeah...' she said, unsure of where our conversation was going.
I hesitated, unsure of how to broach the subject delicately. 'It was Hoseok... Your brother.' I finally admitted, the words were heavy on my tongue.
Ji Woo's brow furrowed in confusion, her eyes searching my face for answers. "My brother?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "But... how?"
I took a deep breath, summoning the courage to explain. "Your mother," I began, my voice tinged with bitterness. "She left, taking Hoseok with her. They had a deal, your parents, that when she was pregnant with Hoseok, he said... he said if the child was a boy, he would let her go. But if it was a girl, then all three of them would have to stay."
Understanding dawned in Jiwoo's eyes as she connected the dots, her expression softening with compassion. "I had no idea," she murmured, her voice filled with regret.
I reached out, taking her hand in mine and giving it a reassuring squeeze. "It's not your fault," he assured her, his voice gentle yet firm. "But Hoseok wants to meet you. He wants to know his sister."
