Rebecca Cosmos, Sylvan Thompson and me, Debyanne Wilson, became friends through the daily meet-ups outside of our classrooms. We were the OUT-standing students of our whole section. I know it's not something to be proud of, though it helped in uniting the three of us. I never thought I would be friends with people like them. They were both so different from me. Nothing in similar. Yet always, we had something to talk about whenever we met.                                                                                 Today, I joined the theatre club where they were both in. I passed the screening somehow. Now that I think about it, I don't remember being good enough at acting. I have always been honest, straight-forward and blunt. Most people don't like that about me but does it matter? No, I don't need to impress them. I should only care about living upto my OWN expectations, not THEIRS. For the first day, there weren't much for me to do, I just watched the others but soon felt real dizzy so I got to the vending machine to get myself something to drink. Sylvan looked around him for a minute or two and followed after me. He kept fidgeting and grabbing his own neck. I have noticed this sort of body movements in one of my mother's books about psychology. Mostly, people do that when they're shy, nervous or had something to say.
"H-hey."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I j-just, you know. Right, where's Rebecca? Didn't see her today. She didn't respond to any of my messages."
"That's because she's traveling. She must be busy."
"Is that so? But I don't remember her mentioning about going somewhere."
"I guess it was sudden so she didn't find the right timing to tell us? I bet that's the case."
"Uh, okay. Ahm, I wanted to ask you something. Can we meet up this Sat?"
"What's that? Are you perhaps planning to ask me-?"
"No-no-no-no!!!! Yo-u are m-mistaken."
"Then?"
"I have noticed this for a while but let me ask you this now. Why do you keep staring above my head? Do you see any succubus or something clinging to me?"
"..."
"???"
"Yeah."
"What?"
"You are right."
"I believe you. And it's not just me, you do that shit with everyone. Even Rebecca. For a sec, I thought you had the ability to see spirits like mieruko-chan."
"Who is mieru-?"
"Forget it. The thing is I might get the wrong idea if you do that with me." Sylvan looked away.
"What wrong idea?"
"I will end up thinking that you have a hair fetish."
Phew I was scared for nothing...
