The sun peeked through my black silk curtains and shined a bit on my face, I groaned and turned to my side as my eyes fluttered open, I checked my phone to see what time it was.... 7 in the morning, but my eyes widened, and a grin made its way to my lips, seeing the date June 6th, my best friend Gregory's birthday today! I quickly sat up and messaged him.

L: Good sir, isn't today a very special day today?~

G:... Huh? Special day, what on earth are you on about, and what are you doing up at 7 in the morning?

L: Gregory... seriously? >:(

G:Lils, what is up with you... oooooh 😅 I see

L:Happy birthday, you wonderful blonde diva you! 💜💜💜

G: Well, thank you, Lils. I'm glad to see you're excited

L:How can I not when it's the day my most wonderful, most intelligent, most talented man I've ever met has been born, am I not to be excited?

G: You're too sweet, you know that?

L: I only speak truth, so any plans for your special day?~🌹

G: Not really.. U free today?

L: ofc! wanna hang out?

G: That's just what I was gonna ask~ wanna meet at the cafe?

L: Yeah! Meet you there in 20~🌹💜

With that I put my phone down and get dressed into something more nice, I pull out a royal blue sundress with black laces and black frills at the bottom of the dress and put on a new ring he gave me, since he's been back from hell he decided to get me a new ring as a sign of new beginnings and our friendship being stronger than other. And put my first ring he gave me on a necklace and put it around my neck. Today was the day I was gonna tell him my feelings, my heart raced full of excitement and nervousness.

I finished doing my makeup and grabbed his gift and put it in my purse, and began making my way to the cafe. It was so beautiful, the sky the most pretty blue and the trees were looking more vibrant, I finally make my way to the cafe to see Gregory in a white button up and his leather coat and black jeans his blond hair in a ponytail per usual seeing him made me lose my breath a bit and my cheeks felt warm and had a hint of pink and I took a deep breath before I spoke up and waved making my way to him.

"Heyyyy!"

He perked up and turned to see me smiling big.

"Hello there, my rose, aren't you looking a little extra nice today~" He said as he looked me over, smiling sweetly.

"Come now, it's my favorite person's birthday. I wanted to dress up for the occasion. Can you blame me... by the way I'm paying." I say a bit with a smirk, and he sighs.

"But isn't it the gentleman's job to pay and take care of the woman? I know it's my birthday, but jeez let me at least pay for the coffee and whatever else." He says as he opens the door for me.

"Nope, today I'll pay for everything, so don't you worry your pretty blonde head." I giggle and curtsie as he rolls his eyes.

"Sure, sure, Lils." He chuckles softly and comes in after me, and we are seated. I look around to see a lot of couples drinking tea or coffee chatting, some of them holding hands, and my cheeks go red a bit, I guess Gregory notices as he chuckles.

"Something you're getting all flustered over? I haven't seen you blush that hard since when we were kids and your mother was wondering how we weren't a couple already the day I gave you that ring that you have as a necklace now I see." He chuckles, pointing at the chain around my neck with the ring he gave me when we were kids. I blush a bit more.
