"Percy, get up!" I heard my mother yell up the stairs. I groaned as I flopped one arm over my eyes. I slowly sat up and stretched. As I got dressed, I listened to Ripetide by Vance Joy.

"Morning!" I said as I made myself some cereal. I say down at the table and ate my cereal quickly. I was going to meet up with Annabeth in Times Square.

I ran up behind Annabeth and hugged her. She squeaked in surprise at the sudden hug. I laughed in her ear as I kissed her cheek.
"How's my Wise Girl?" I asked as I turned her around with my hands on her hips.
