Bambi's eyes slowly opened as she awoke Christmas morning. Her dormitory stood silently still as she was the only one who had signed up to stay for the Winter Holiday. Even without Alicia and Angelina to keep her company, she found that most of her days were filled with enough socializing and pranks to make up for the both of them. Ron had made some comment about her being glued to the twin's hips, which, wasn't completely inaccurate. It seemed that they had taken any opportunity to continue dragging her along with them wherever they went. Whether it was an attempt to mess with Bambi or to genuinely spend time with her could be anyone's guess.

She stretched, letting out a groan as her arms spread up above her head. Bambi's hair was more wild this morning than it usually was, sticking drastically up over her head in bushy red ringlets.

Throwing her plush comforter off of her body, she looked over at a small stack of presents sitting on the trunk at the end of her bed. She took a moment to take in the peaceful morning, leaning back on her arms, and taking some deep breaths of the crisp morning air. Monty was curled up in a tiny ball at the end of her bed, his chocolatey fur barely visible under the layers of quilts and blankets.

The night before, the Weasleys, Harry, and Bambi stayed up late playing exploding snap and eating their fill of desserts they had taken with them from the Great Hall. It was past midnight by the time they all went their separate ways, but only because Percy came down from his dormitory and berated them all for making too much noise.

"BAMBI, ARE YOU COMING OVER OR NOT?" Yelled a voice somewhere down below.

Bambi paused, her peaceful morning coming to an end. Monty gave her a grumpy glare from where he stirred as if it was her who woke him up. She blinked groggily, groaned again, then stood up off of her bed.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" She yelled back, sticking her head out of her dorm door.

"DON'T OPEN YOUR PRESENTS, JUST BRING THEM WITH YOU."

"BRING THEM WHERE?"

"DOWN HERE!"

"WHY?"

"BECAUSE!"

Bambi slammed the door, but began stacking her presents anyway. She tied her hair up in another messy bun. She would have tried to make it a regular bun, but messy buns seemed to be her only option.

With her presents in her arms, Bambi opened her door and about tripped at the base of the stairs. They had been stairs the night before when Bambi went up to bed, but where the stairs had been was a giant slide leading all the way down to the main common room area.

"Oh, there you are, we thought you'd never wake up," said one twin, standing expectantly at the base of the slide. "Happy Christmas by the way,"

"We haven't opened our lot yet, thought you might want to join us," said the other.

Bambi carefully slid down the stairs, about crashing into the twins at the bottom. "Sorry," She laughed, having accidentally just kicked George rather hard in the shin. "Happy Christmas to you guys too,"

He groaned, holding his leg tightly. "Bloody-"

"Tut tut, Georgie. No foul language on such a sacred day!" Fred shook a finger at George who now looked as if he wanted to kick Fred.

"Boys, no fighting this morning." Bambi pushed the two apart, balancing her pile of presents in her arms. "Where are your presents?" She asked, looking around.

"In our dorm?" Fred answered, tilting his head to the side as if this was obvious.

"You want me to go into your dorm?" Bambi asked skeptically, red flags from years of her Dad's warnings flying through her mind.
